  I had the privilege of meeting a very professional loan officer named Sarah Rodriguez. We financed our Rv with gulf coast and Sarah met our experience with ease. She helped and explained every detail of our loan. I will definitely be returning to gulf coast with all my financial needs and hoping Sarah will be there to help me and if I don’t get her, hopefully I will get someone with equal knowledge.   Xavier at the teller window is the rudest and most unhelpful person I have ever had to deal with. I was making a deposit into a relative's account and he treated me as if I was attempting to rob the bank! I will NEVER deal with him again and I suggest everyone avoid him unless you want to be treated very condescendingly by Xavier. I will NEVER do business with Gulf Coast because of Xavier! They need to train all of their employees how to provide proper customer service!

  Interest rates are decent, but they are not very military friendly when it comes to making a loan/vehicle payment. They only give you the option to mail in a check or pay in person, both of which can be difficult to do if you are overseas or on deployment. They won't let you pay online and if you choose to pay over the phone, they charge you a $12 "convenience" fee which most financial institutions will waive for active duty military overseas or out of state...but Gulf Coast does not. They need to get with the program and set up an automated system that will allow you to pay over the phone or at least let you make your payment online. Even my small local bank from my hometown allows you to pay online or over the phone free of charge.
