We had a terrible experience when we opened our NFCU account. All we did was give them a check from another Credit Union to open our account. We turned down all other services. Due to mistakes at the NFCU, we had to go back a couple of times while they corrected them (some tax form - still don't understand what is was and what was wrong, and another issue, don't remember what the 2nd was, not sure I understood then). When I arrived at their request due to their error, they left me waiting over and hour, then told me (when I asked how much longer) that the person I'm waiting for had left and someone else would see me. TODAY (years later) I found out the NFCU issued a CUCARD in our name (not requested by us) sent to an address NOT our address (but I can't find out what address they sent it to). TODAY, years later, we found out about it only when we got a notice on it expiring. I called and cancelled the card (nice folks on the phone 888 number were VERY helpful). We lost no money in any of the above but I'm concerned for our identity and account security and have no personal confidence in NFCU. I have no answers, but believe the card or cards are now cancelled.

We just moved to Leesville and I needed to exchange a $20 for rolls of quarters. Since Walmart doesn't have a bank and my regular bank is out of state I stopped in the NFCU. I actually happened to be in uniform at the time, but the female I spoke was the absolute rudest person. I understand I'm not a member, but her attitude was so unprofessional I can't believe she ever works in a public setting. If I were her boss she'd be fired.

I began with NFCU at the advice of my son. They have been courteous and helpful. When I was short on money to pay my loan, they worked to help me put. When I wanted the loan they sent it in the mail before I even filled out the papers. What more could you ask for?

I love this bank. I'm observing the negative reviews to be incomplete or just doesn't make sense. Anonymous user below should explain how it's your bank's fault for YOUR job's inability to provide direct deposit. Looks like they're better off without you, doesn't it?

I love this bank and been with them for the last four years and don't have one single complain. They have always exceeded my expectations when it comes to auto loan, banking, getting my salary through them, and everything else. Thank you! Navy Federal All the way.

This is an employees credit union open to ACTIVE duty military and family members. It used to be you also had to be overseas to qualify but that was 15 years ago or more. Once you have membership and then leave service, your account remains open (you don't have to close it). I'm not sure if you never had an account and are no longer active if you can open an account based on prior service.

I speak on behalf of my corporation when we express our displeasure at the 2017 Small Business production our relationship with NFCU as it stands today. Without respect to our requested wishes, and with rash and partial information, we believe that NFCU's corporate decision to remove the NFCU Small Business spot for our company is a shame. Our opinion is that NFCU corporate policy and judgement without full information or understanding of the simplicity of the challenge which we addressed has truly interfered with sound, common sense and has under-utilized the rational decision-making to achieve the common, positive goal of promoting small, veteran-owned and operated businesses. To date, we have received no response from correspondence we submitted on 4 May 2017 to NFCU Executive Leadership, Our Small Business Manager, and NFCU Productions Manager for Small Business. Except from our follow-on correspondence provided below: "[Our Company] stands completely shocked at the lack of effort expressed to remove a one second portion of a promotional video to resolve this very simple concern that [Our Company] expressed through multiple channels and employees of NFCU. We, as a corporation, are in awe at the short-comings that NFCU has exhibited throughout the process and we have truly learned some valuable lessons as to NFCU internal, policy, and consumer/business-based operations and service. We are alarmed that NFCU has elected to dodge “Doing The Right Thing” and ensuring that their long-standing business partner and customer, [Our Company], interests are at the forefront with NFCU of a national marketing campaign, ensuring that both companies exhibit the strong banking-member partnership that up to this point, we’ve mutually enjoyed. As an NFCU member personally for 25+ years, and as a business partner for approaching 10 years with NFCU, I would have thought that meant something in the grand scheme of things, that my personal and our business friendships with NFCU accounted for taking the time to help and "do what is right." I used to think I knew where NFCU stood when it came to integrity, honor, perseverance, and commitment. I thought I knew where NFCU stood when it came to support of their consumers, members, and business partners. However, in the span of a few days and due to multiple poor decision-making, execution, and communications by NFCU employees and ultimately, the decision to not change a one second clip in a video, has me knowing otherwise as to where our business stands with NFCU." - Jaesen Y., CEO
