Over $2000 of my additional principal payment was incorrectly recorded as monthly payment in December. This means I got double charged for interest and Escrow in December. It also looks strange to me that with my addition principal payment, the year I can pay off the loan did not change at all. I work in banking and this is wrong. I Have been calling Mr.Cooper for the past two days and already submitted an incident to ask them to correct the payment. However they did not pick up the phone of respond at all. I found out there is a class action against Mr.Cooper for unauthorized mortgage payment. Is there anyone can tell me how to join the class action?

MR Cooper is the worst lender I ever had. They deserve negative 100 in rating. They stopped the very last automatic payment without telling me. I have never received their mailed letter about cancellation of last mortgage payment. The claimed the last payment needs to be made in a different way using wire transfer or certified check including other fees; that’s fine. But here is the problem: 1. Mr copper can’t stop the automatic payment without getting my consent and claim me for late payment. 2. I have never received your letter with payoff statement. So I end up with late payment credit records. I protested with Mr copper and they insisted they were right. Will never use them or will refinance my loan if it will ever be sold to Mr copper. They do not deserve my business. Period! Very disappointment and frustrating!

My home loan transfered here. The first thing I had to deal with was a fee/fine because they didn't transfer over my direct deposit correctly, but didn't alert me until after they said I had been given a fee. The poor customer service woman o nthe phone couldn't remove the fee and she also could not get her supervisor to call me or even text her back about the issue. What a cluster. Just want to an an update to this. It seems the "owner" responded. I sent them an e-mail and tried calling the number and got no response whatsoever. So it seems these responses are a false damage control intended to pad these negative reviews.

UPDATE: This was resolved. I was finally provided an escalations email and phone and they helped me immediately. I need one signature on a piece of paper to do a partial release of mortgage on an old nationstar mortgage and NO ONE THERE apparently wants to help with that. Months of unanswered emails and phone calls.

As long as you don’t ever need to talk to a competent, trustworthy individual about your mortgage with Mr.Cooper, you should be debatably satisfied.

Worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. Absolutely horrible customer service. They have made mistakes that have cost me thousands. I am currently in discussion with a lawyer to sue this company for all they have cost me.

Horrible Company, worse customer service. Can't ever talk to a person. On hold forever, get disconnected, call backs as promised don't happen. Paid off my mortgage 4 months ago, just trying to get my deed to my home.

I had the misfortune of having my mortgage acquired by this company about four months ago. I am attempting to pay off my mortgage early by paying extra principle each month....more than double my actual payment due. Instead of paying down the principle, Mr. Cooper pretends that the extra monies are just some kind of advanced payments on the loan so that Mr. Cooper can extract an additional interest payments unauthorized by me. This is an accounting “trick” that Mr. Cooper has employed to every payment I have made since I had the misfortune of having my loan transferred to Mr. Cooper in January despite my calls and emails, they do it every time. My calls and emails have not corrected this practice by Mr. Cooper…. Should I approach the regulatory agencies with my concerns? it appears to be the pattern and practice of "Mr. Cooper." The personal assurances given to me each time have not come to fruition and I feel like this will remain an on-going issue since it is obvious that Mr. Cooper wants to do everything in its power to prevent borrowers from paying down their loans early so it might gain as much profit and interest from each loan as it possibly can. I have been told they "put a note in my file" and that "it won't happen again," but it just keeps happening...It is the same reason they want you on electronic auto pay...much harder to pay it down in advance and limit the interest paid.

      Response from the owner

Hi Steve, We sincerely apologize for the troubles you've had regarding your payments. We'd be happy to take a look into this issue for you. Please contact us at [email protected] with your information to further assist you. Thank you. Griselda
