  Our very first home bought was done through Mountain Valley Mortgage (Moapa Valley Mortgage). As first time home buyers, after the first year we had a bunch of companies reaching out to refinance our VA loan at a lower interest rate. We didn’t know any better, so we switched and went with the company that could provide the lowest rate. Let me tell you, it was a big mistake!! They refinanced us and all was great, until we got a delinquent tax notice. We were so confused as to why. Our escrow was covering our home owners insurance as well as property taxes. Needless to say, we had to pay out of pocket to get them caught up. When we contacted the company they basically said, “To bad, there is nothing we can do unless we redo the loan”. Even though we went through everything, they were responsible for the penalties and the taxes according to the paperwork we signed and they signed. Rather than dealing with the chaos any longer, we reached out to Angie to see if she could help us. Without hesitation, she and Patrick jumped on it. Patrick was wonderful. He was very easy to talk to and answered any questions we had. He was very responsive via text, emails and calls- no matter the time of day. Everything was done and signed via the online portals which made it easy with a hectic schedule. Only thing we had to do was go into the title company and sign, which was right here in Overton. The lady (I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name) in there was very friendly and fast. We did get a couple quotes for refinancing and found all other companies to be really high in their closing costs- other companies wanted $7- $8k, whereas; Mountain Valley Mortgage was somewhere between $1500-$2k, plus they dropped our interest rate a great deal. Overall this was a very pleasant and speedy experience. We won’t use another company if we ever need to refinance or want to purchase another home. From the beginning to the closing it was a smooth process. Thank you for being so amazing, kind and patient. You guys truly rock!
