  Quite disappointed in their lack of follow up or due attention. They were the first ones I reached out to based on recommendation and initially I spoke with Nicole who was prompt and friendly, I filled out the app and was passed onto Mike Archer. It took Mike 2 weeks to reach out to me, he left a voicemail. I called him right back and he sent a text message that just said "text me". So I told him I was returning his call. I never heard another peep. I ended up going through Rocket and (despite my expectations), I can see why they do the volume they do. They were attentive, quick, creative and great at keeping me informed. I don't have time for games. All I can guess is that Mortgage 1 isn't hurting for business if they can ignore solid leads.

  I have worked with Mike, Monica, and Kim from Mortgage 1. As a Realtor, I really appreciate the constant communication throughout the transaction whether I am the Selling Agent or Buyer's Agent. The team works hard to help both Buyers and Sellers. Great team!

  My husband and I were looking into buying our first house recently. We had no idea where to start and Mike Archer and his staff at Mortgage 1 helped us out. They kept us informed through the whole buying process and were very helpful when we had issues or questions come up. I would highly recommend Mortgage 1 for any of your Mortgage needs. Great company and great people.

  My agent, April Wieleba., at the Shelby Township location was not detailed and had poor communication skills. A.W. did not respond to most inquires in a timely fashion; she missed multiple scheduled telephone meetings. We had to push our closing date back on three separate occasions. We missed out on our down payment assistance because of her advice on moving assets. She was inept regarding MSHDA policies, which was evident with her advice regarding moving assets to qualify for down payment assistance.

  After making the mistake of not looking for our mortgage local first, Mike Archer came with a glowing recommendation. Already having worked with a lender that got us pre-approved for programs we didn't qualify for, I was a bit apprehensive. Their team was quick, knowledgeable, and efficient. I knew what was happening every step of the way, and they did an excellent job making sure we understood things that were confusing. They were able to close my mortgage within two weeks so we could meet the deadline for purchasing our home. Mike and his team should be your first stop in the home buying experience. They deserve the opportunity to earn your trust, and your business just as they did with us.

  Mike Archer and his team have handled all of our moves and subsequent mortgages. Having not moved for 21 years, combined with all of the housing/lending changes, caused us to ask a lot of questions. Mike’s easy-going demeanor and amazing patience made the process much smoother than we expected. He walked us through every step of the financing and closing with expertise and insight. We won’t consider working with anyone else!

  Monica was very helpful. Always made the best out of a bad situation. Was a very positive person and never once did not try.
