  excellent opportunity for my children. one has graduated and one is still there. They have both received a superior education in a safe and nurturing environment; we are blessed to have this opportunity and despite what an "ex" might say I would gather that's why they are an ex. Headmaster of the school leads with strength, and I am glad I am no longer at a school where the parents run the show as I was at a prior school not far away. He does care about athletics but I have seen him put as much energy and enthusiasm into the academic program and fine arts; I think he actually comes from a fine arts background himself. Good stuff all the way around.

  Moved my daughter here for 7th grade after disastrous previous 2 years in public school. First off it was hard for my husband and I to find ANY private school that would accept her with her grades being average and her struggling with reading. It’s so sad to think that if you’re not the best you’re not even wanted. It’s very easy for schools have perfect grades if they only take perfect kids. It takes a much higher caliber teacher to take an imperfect child and make them perfect. My daughter has completed her first year there now and is a completely different child, they’ve taught her how to study and be accountable for her work (or not doing her work) she is more personable and disciplined, I love they have to wear uniform, everyone is the same clothes from the same store, it’s really helped. I think the proof is in the pudding, if I compare my daughter to how she was a year ago, she’s a completely different person for the better and that is certainly due to the hard work of the staff at MVA.

  I have to laugh that students are giving low ratings because the school blocks websites. Yes, as a parent I LOVE that the school blocks inappropriate websites on campus...its a SCHOOL. Great academics, very culturally diverse, great fine arts, and yes, great athletics. Some of these reviews are laughable. Rape and smoking weed?? The school drug tests every student--even athletes. And everyone is held accountable. Those who fail or refuse drug tests are dismissed. And as parent I LOVE that! Fantastic school based on 12 years of attendance.

  By far the best private school in Lake County; the school has been around for more than 100 years and has created a culture of success; I am so glad my children have had the opportunity to attend and meet other children from the local community and around the world. Well worth the investment!

  Based on the recent story regarding a 16yr old African American student who was asked to change her hair. The texture or style of her hair should never be an issue, your racist policy made it an issue and for that reason I would never allow my child to attend this school.hope that other potential parents and students see this as I have; as s an insult to African American students who chose to wear their hair as it grows, without chemical treatments in its natural state. And by the way when her hair becomes BIG, it means it is growing and healthy!

  I have went to this school for 2 years and I hated it so much. this school makes themselves look like a great school but its actually not that good. and they do BLOCK EVERYTHIG like why. they only favor the athletic people and everyone else no. if you aren't gifted or smart you really don't fit in this school. oh, I don't even want to start with there lunch food, NASTY!! I seriously went home crying every day because its so stressful DONT BRING YOUR CHILDREN

  Grading a school by what the athletic program is like is hardly important. The academic programs are why people go to schools and universities. Graduates leave with a real education that last throughout life and fosters good jobs and careers as they get older. Sports might be nice, but it's unlikely that they do much for a career in later life. Unfortunately public schools today seem to focus on sports and we have graduates who can't read, can't write a structured sentence and in general are uneducated. Not so with the MVA.

  We have 3 children that attend MVA. We highly recommend it. My children are being taught by warm, highly educated and passionate teachers. Not only are they in a safe and fun environment, they are being challenged and encouraged daily.

  I want to say thank you for letting me part of the Basketball team my name is Jonathan Encarnacion i was going here and got accepted but once i saw that the tuition is 1k a month i don't know why. This school is way to much costly it's not likes they're feeding you 5 star meals all they care about is basketball like my friend Rj Barrett that goes there. Anyways thanks for letting me try out and getting accepted for basketball not a bad school just focus on renewing gate school and the meals please.
