Steve Junious1I've been a member for 20 years, but after my experience yesterday I'm looking for another bank. My wife and I went in to apply for a consolidation loan. After some back and forth for about 45 minutes the teller/loan officer pops up on screen and said in order for them to help they would need collateral, not even offering any other solution. So we offered our cars, but because of the mileage they wouldn't accept them and they wanted to know what else we have. At that point we go up and left. Never mind the multiple times my account has been hacked and I had to beg and plead for my money to be returned. Never mind the fact they began to withdraw overdraft fees even before your account goes into red. But the way we were talked to while asking for a loan like we were children, and asking for collateral like some kind of loan shark, that was the final straw. They didn't even offer a lower amount than we were asking for or anything. I thought MobilOil was supposed to be a local credit union that helps its members. I understand the bank needs to make money too, but there are better options. UPDATE 06-24-22: A few days after leaving this review I immediately received a response from a woman named Tish. After a few back and forths via e-mail, she said she would follow-up with us in six months, which would've been some time in February 2022. It is now coming up on July 2022, haven't heard from anyone. After speaking to my sister-in-law who worked in the banking indusrty in the Southeast Texas area, she said that MOFCU are only interested in helping the well to do families in the area or anyone with money. That sure does seems to be the case.

Billy Meche150 years as a member and I have to say the last couple of years customer service has really gone to he__!!! Almost changed last year, but waited to see if they would improve, but it's gotten worse!!! I believe management's only goal is to reduce headcount regardless of customer service. No longer can you go in to see a loan officer, everything is done over a computer screen while sitting in an empty office. ( This was done before Covid, not to protect individuals and wait time has not improved) Try calling!!! It's all automated and every time I call it's backed up to around 20 calls or more, (19 yesterday). And, yes, they will call you back, but I was told they had up to 48 hours! Now, the Lobby is closed due to lack of employee's and Covid, (what I was told) with no ETA of reopening! Call Du Good or Neches Credit union, you still have people answering the phone right away. Their lobbies are open and you get personnel service from a loan officer!

turbodgumby1Warning to people thinking about getting a loan. IF you miss your payment because you are out working 7 12 hour days they will lock your account to where you can't make your usual payment online. You have to call during the hours that you are no where near a phone or even cell phone/internet service in order to make your payment. So if you miss your payment they make it harder for you to make your payment!

Dustin Willis1Great bank unless you travel for work or try to buy items from the internet they will cut your debit card off and it takes a hour to get any kind of service to turn your card back on

Jennifer Pham5Getting an auto loan was a breeze! Went through several credit unions and Mobil was the only one that was reasonable and easy to work with. I got a great rate too! Drew Griffin(FSR) was my loan handler and he was quick with everything! Very honest and determined. He even took initiative to email the salesperson for all of the paperwork to process(salesperson didn’t know that we didn’t finance with dealership so they haven’t sent it over yet). Definitely my choice as far as credit unions go and I’ll be looking for Drew if I ever have any questions or concerns.

Kitchen Kickups4I just read some negative reviews and I must disagree. I have found the service to be wonderfull. These people have been so patient and understanding of my beginner business errors. I have been a pest!. The only reason I didn't put this at 5 stars is there is a procedural problem that needs to be addressed from the standpoint of the maximum dollar amount that can be spent in a day. When buying inventory a lot of checks were being written and they drove my vendors nuts refusing the checks. They need a way to determine a charge is real without refusing to clear a check when there is plenty of money in the account. This is a policy issue and I understand there is nothing an individual employee can do about it. I just wish somebody would take the matter to committee and get it fixed.for other new businesses in the future. This was a huge headache for me. But when the shop was filled and inventory only needed replenishing. it was no longer an issue.

Jess Wade1Daily spending limit on debit card that can't be permanently removed is a joke. I haven't been able to access my account for days!! Hold times are ridiculous and the automated system told me my account is restricted!?! The new app is up and running and my user name and password aren't working... tried to reset it hours ago, still haven't gotten an email with a link to reset. This is unacceptable!!!

Brandon Smith1After I had closed my account somehow there was a balance of 50cents they continued to charge fees on the account and never notified me. I didn't know this until I went to another bank to open a account. I called and no one would ever return my calls. So I went in one day to discover that they had racked up $550.50 balance and 0.50 of that was fees. I spoke with the branch manager and they refused to remove the fees, saying they already wrote it off as a bad account and that it would stay on my credit. I had banked here for 8 years and I never was treated well. I would highly recommend putting your money elsewhere.
