  The worst for auto financing...we leased a Honda and had to deal with Midwest America for our lease. We had issues with them from the start. First, no one explained to us that we needed to call in and activate online banking in order to add an external account for payments. Didn't realize this until I went on to pay my bill after days before it was due. Then was told when I called in that it can rake up to 72 hours to add the external account before you can make a payment through it so my payment was not able to post until the 3rd. Then about 4pm on the last day of the month, both my fiance and I get multiple threatening calls while trying to finish up our work day from Sean at Midwest America stating that we did not pay our full payment and we would be reported to collections at midnight for approximately $25 that was still owed. When I called back and spoke with her, she explained that there has been a long on-going problem with their website and it doesn't calculate state sales tax so the amount showing online that we owed was actually less then what our payment should have been, causing this shortage in the payment. She wanted a debit card number immediately over the phone or threatened to report to the credit bureaus as a late payment at the end of the day. I felt this was EXTREMELY unprofessional. I had no idea if she was who she said she was to give her a card number over the phone. And I do not feel that I should be penalized for some known and long standing issue with their website. Get yourself together Midwest America, if you would fix the issue with your website, you wouldn't have to pay people like Sean to call and harass or threatened your customers on the last day of each month which could potentially save you a ton of money, just sayin. I would not willingly bank here if I had the choice. My experience with them has been less than satisfactory and their other reviews aren't great either. Update: Nice response Midwest America. Thanks for absolutely NOT addressing your website issues OR the threatening credit reporting calls even though I paid the "amount due" quoted on your website which resulted in the underpayment.

Making payments from external accounts do require extra time to setup. Due to your concerns, we are actively working to revise the documentation members receive at the beginning of their loan by recommending they call us to assist in the setup of external transfers for a smoother process. We believe that this added step will help prevent others from having the same difficulties.   Just got our mortgage thru here and the banking staff was amazing. The branch manager was nice, our mortgage specialist was phenomenal. Customer service issues? No way... in fact they made everything easy, fast, and extremely enjoyable. Very prompt and eager to answer any questions i had. Highly highly recommend.

  Always so rude. Never helpful. Told me I couldn’t cash a check because I didn’t have more than $50 in my account. Why would that matter? Don’t have problems at any other branch. This one is awful & I’m switching banks because of it.

However, it is regrettable to hear that the service you received was less than pleasant.   Not very good customer service. Borderline rude. We bank here and Wells Fargo. At Wells Fargo we always get welcome to Wells Fargo how may we help you. They also make small talk about your day, big plans for the weekend, etc. makes it more personal.Then we get a thank you so much for banking at Wells Fargo, is there anything else I can do for you? At Midwest all the tellers almost seemed to be bothered by me coming in or at the drive thru. NO Smile, no thank you for banking here. A smile and a personable experience goes a long way, it's called customer service! And it doesn't cost them a penny extra to be nice to people. I hope this review is helpful to them. I have a lot of money there, if they don't change their attitude I'll take my money some where else.

  The service reps have always been most helpful at this branch, so I was so surprised to see anything less than a 5. Maybe someone was just having a bad day when they wrote their review.
