Frank Beaudoin5been here 30 years and been to other banks. I will have to say there is no comparison to those other banks Michigan educational bank is the best out there with the best people there to serve you in all of your baking needs.

Chris Baldwin1Never use this Credit Union or its ATMs. Used the ATM after hours to deposit cash, ATM took the cash and never deposited it into my bank account, gave a receipt or any other confirmation of transaction. Went through my credit union to dispute the transaction and still got denied. This Credit Union literally stole from its user and refused to provide service or help.
Response from the ownerHi Chris. We would appreciate the opportunity to talk about this further. Could you send us an email at [email protected] with your direct number? We have someone from our management team that would like to discuss this situation and see what we can do to assist.

Kevin Hosner1Absolutely worst credit union I have ever experienced. Didn’t even have my account for a month. And I ended up shutting it down. I strongly do NOT recommend going here, if you are looking for a place to bank. I will be doing all of my banking at Chase. At least they let me open a checking account. And my pay checks ACTUALLY get deposited into a CHECKING account.
Response from the ownerHi Kevin. We appreciate your feedback and would love the opportunity to talk about it more. Can you shoot us an email us at [email protected] with your number? We will have someone from our member service team give you a call in hopes we can remedy your experience.

Austin Thomas1Sneaky. Financed my Dodge Ram through them, made every payment/never missed or paid late. Called them in February regarding interest rates/account information (knowing my vehicle would be paid off in October). The representative told me, “everything looked great!” and it would be senseless to lower your interest rate due to paying primarily principle until the last payment in October. I was ok with that, but wanted a definitive answer when my vehicle would be paid off. She assured me that “yes, October your vehicle would be paid off”. Fast forward to September (now), I receive a statement saying I have a +$1,200 balance. I call them back to address the matter and they tell me I have 3 more payments left (which would take me into December). They give me a shoulder shrugging answer, that the past rep. was wrong and it is what it is. So I’ll apparently be donating just under a grand to this company. Wish everyone the best! God bless!

Nathaniel Webster1I have been a member of MECU since 2004, I have had a generally lukewarm experience with them. Today I found out that my Debit card, since June, has been skimmed for over $10,000, Purchases were made in California, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Sydney Australia. I did not receive a call, text, or email for these suspicious charges. When I spoke with the woman at the desk, she said they could only reimburse me for 60 days. She asked me if I had been receiving statements in the Mail, which I have not, She asked me If I had been signed up for online home banking, I have been trying to sign up for years only to receive error messages every time I try to enroll. She manually had to create a username and temporary password at her computer to sign me up. MECU Is a very archaic bank, I have an Amazon credit card through Chase, I was pumping gas 20 miles from my house, and received a text asking if I was making that purchase, I feel like that is the gold standard for fraud service, MECU is behind the times. I plan on taking my banking elsewhere.

Jodie Michelle Batten5I've belonged to this Credit Union since I joined Northwood Elementary's PTA when my son began kindergarten. Let's just say that it's been long enough that I know this credit union well. At that time it was Royal Oak Schools Credit Union They are open Mon-Fri 9:30-5:30 both the lobby and drive-thru. Also you can use the Credit Union Co-Op located in the shopping 🛒 center located on the SE corner N. Campbell Rd. & Fourteen Mile Rd. It's right in the corner of the shopping 🛒 center. They are open until 7pm Mon-Fri and on Saturday 9- 1 pm

Michael1Went in to get a copy of my bank statement and the lady was so rude the entire time. Didn’t answer me when I asked how she was, she seemed annoyed that I asked for my bank statement, rolled her eyes at me, I said “have a great rest of your day” when I was leaving and she replied “yeah” and didn’t even look at me. Idk what her deal was.
