  Michelle and her team helped me buy my first home. Even in this insane early 2022 market skewed heavily towards sellers, Michelle was able to answer all my questions from the beginning pre-qualification stage all the way through to closing. Michelle and her team were very responsive and kept me informed every step of the way so we could make it to the closing table as quickly and easily as possible. She was also quick to provide quotes/illustrations as we attempted to make many offers while rates spiked throughout our several month long search. I couldn't imagine using or recommending any other team when we inevitably sell and purchase another home years from now.

  I have used Michelle twice now to purchase a home. She is always professional, helpful, caring, and understanding. She goes out of her way to make sure that she is getting you the best mortgage for your situation as well as the lowest interest rate you qualify for. The second time we used Michelle, we hit a snag and the first house we were going to buy fell through, by no fault of our own or Michelle, the sellers simply backed out, when we finally found our home, she went above and beyond to ensure that everything was complete in time for settlement, 30 days after our offer was accepted! This included frantic phone calls from me listening to me vent, as well as late night text messages between her and I, answering questions and offering reassurance. She may be a loan officer, but she is also very caring and compassionate, and wants to ensure you are comfortable, and understand what is going on. I would refer all of my friends and family to her in a heartbeat. I actually already have! She told me 10+ year ago the first time I used her that she is my loan officer for life, and when I called her months later with a question regarding our mortgage, which she no longer serviced, she was still there to answer my questions and ensure I understood. So when she and I tell you she will be your mortgage loan officer (broker whatever you want to call her) for life. I promise you it’s not just a line, it’s the truth! Best decision I ever made!

  Michelle and her team that handled my loan was nothing but exceptional. She was always available via email, text, and phone. She even went above and beyond to call me and explain things when I had multiple questions.   I was referred to Michelle Wahlmark from my realtor explaining that she was exceptional at her job. She is very knowledge IF you are able to get her on the phone. It is very difficult to communicate with her team as they are always changing and do not always respond. Our home owner insurance company had to send them emails multiple times prior to them responding. We purchased our home through an independent sale using a lawyer. Her team- primarily Chryss was very rude and did not provide the information to our lawyer in a timely fashion. She was disrespectful and completely inappropriate to me and my lawyer. You are supposed to get a final disclosure 3 days before closing. 48 hours prior to closing I had to message them to see where everything stood. It was at that time they realized they didn’t have the “all clear” due to something I send them a month back that they forgot about. Luckily we were able to close on our house on time. I would NEVER recommend them to someone to use as a mortgage company. Moving is stressful enough and they made it 10x worse. Save yourself the headache and look for a different mortgage company.

  Hi Tara. I am sorry you had this experience. I wish you would have reached out to me sooner. You did receive the ICD (initial closing disclosure) a week before closing, which is the form that is required to be in your hands 3 days prior to closing. The final disclosure sometimes is closer to settlement, which is what you are speaking about. And you had your clear to close days before settlement.
