  last two phone calls were answered by call center - people had no idea what they were talking about and couldn't do simple transaction. This time I was told to go to bank. Phone calls now answered with the standard "calls higher than usual" line for longer wait. The personal service is gone.

  Charged us a $10 bad address fee for sending something to an address that we haven't even lived at in OVER 2 years! Bravo Meridian, you found a way to capitalize on your own inability to manage records, all the while stealing money away from a 3 year old's college savings account. This is in additional to the worst customer service I have ever experience when attempting to refinance a mortgage through Meridian Trust. Rude loan officer, months with no communication, even after escalating the situation, only to come back requesting a plethora of documentation for even the smallest financial details.

  I have been with Meridian Trust since I was a child. This most recent experience getting a refinance has been an utter disaster. We e-signed for the refinance on July 30, 2020. It is now at the end of October and nothing. We have contacted people at Meridian, but the only way to get them to respond is to leave a negative review. This is discouraging. I only gave them 2 stars because when Lew Stubbs was around, my vehicle loan was rapid and flawless. I anticipate that I will be moving my account and my daughter's account to another credit union.

  Ordering a debit card here is a nightmare, I initially opened a checking account on the 13th of March at the north branch the lady who assisted me was nice enough but I kind of thought it was odd she didn’t write anything down, she said like a week, I wait like two and a half weeks and go into the downtown branch and they have no record of a card ordered. They put a rush on a card and since I work out of town if they could send it to the north branch so I could pick it up on Saturday they assured me they would I called to make sure they said yes show up on Saturday no card I ended up getting the card on the 17th of April over a month after I opened the account. Fast forward to July 3 I left my card at Coors field I didn’t realize this until I was back in Cheyenne so I went on the app canceled my card and ordered a new one, it said it would be here the 14th of July. I go into the downtown branch on the 15th to cash my check and inquire about my replacement, they inform me it wasn’t sent out, but she would put a rush on it, I inform her I work out of town and would need it sent to the north branch because I need to pick it up on Saturday. She said they would, I wait no call. I call the next week and they say it was sent to the downtown branch but they didn’t know where it is, so she said they would put another rush on a card and I should have it in two days that was Wednesday the 21st of July I inform them I work out of town etc she said they would call. They did on the 29th of July, eight days after they put another “rush” on the card.I guess they weren’t as slow as the initial time I was to receive my card it was just under a month. I gave them the second star because I did get the card, but god forbid I lose my card or it gets stolen I’m just going to another bank has to be faster then a month turn around. Once I understand but twice with the same ineptitude, not impressed.

  Updated - August 2021 This is probably one of the best credit unions with which I have ever done business. We have been members since the late 90's and kept our accounts even when we moved overseas. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable about their work. The loan and credit card departments are thorough. Will continue to do business with MTFCU in the future. UPDATE - This is the only credit union that I will use as my main financial institution. The new branch location over by Lowes on the north side is easy to access and the staff have always been friendly. I am glad to see that they are growing in Cheyenne especially. Opening our account over 23 years ago was a great investment.

  I probably should have written this review a long time ago. If I could give my bank 0 stars I would. I got an in house home loan through them. Part of my loan was some money provided to do some home repairs. The stipulations from the bank was to find a LICENSED and INSURED contractor to preform general construction work and to provide documentation that the guy checked out. I got 3 bids from 3 contractors before making a decision. He seemed to check out to me, but I’m not experienced in any of this stuff so I figured it was a go since my bank gave it a go when we reviewed the documentation the “contractor” supplied. Well the “contractor” ended up leaving my home 1/3rd of the way done and the rest just a literal skeleton. Loan officer basically told me tough when things hit the fan. Come to find out the guy was never licensed, and his insurance (even though a common insurance company for licensed contractors) ended up being a wedding planning insurance. I learned my lesson and am hoping a lawyer can help out. COVID has left my household struggling so I’m praying that I can apply some of my tax return to a good lawyer to help straighten the situation out. Not sure why a bank would have these measures in place to protect this type of investment but grossly neglect to check out the documentation they requested. I guess it doesn’t matter to them. They still get their payments but my children and I now are stuck living in something that is barely a home while my “contractor” stole 20k and bought himself his own cozy home.

  Mtfcu is no longer a “small town” bank anymore. We’ve had more problems this year than ever before with their system and telephone customer service. We are working on migrating our accounts elsewhere.

  I have switched all of my personal banking as well as did my mortgage with meridian FCU. I want to first applaud Jacob at the Casper Branch for being a true professional and friend and earning my business personally. Next I want to take a moment to give Beverly Dowling some well needed praise. I bought a new home in Casper Wyoming and Beverly assisted me. She was one of the best I have worked with. Professional, polite, direct and thorough. Closing was a breeze and I would recommend dealing with Meridian FCU for any of your needs. Too often people take time to complain, I wanted to make sure I took the time to give credit where credit is due. Nice work team, I pinky swear I will do lots of business with you.   SS1+ to mention that we need to cancel our automatic withdrawls from our bank. They pulled the money when the loan was paid and now giving us a hard time to get that money back. I dont understand how they can pull money from our account electronically but cant put it back, but write a check and now my family and I have to wait for check in the mail

  They are there for you everytime you call or walk in the doors. No one in town or in this state is as professional in there jobs! They always hit the mark for me. Great job Mweidian Trest!
