Members Choice of Central Texas Federal Credit Union Reviews

Bobby Jones1I have accounts at numerous banks and this is by far the worst loan dept. Auto loans are near impossible with excellent credit. Don’t even waste your time if you are self employed. The mortgage dept used to be great. Now it is horrible. I recommend visiting other banks and if you want business, auto or home loans, don’t waste your time.

cole scranton1My wife has had multiple auto loans with this credit union and paid every one on time and paid them off entirely. We sold our vehicle and the payoff was sent two weeks ago, but they’re still calling us every day threatening us with reporting our payment as late to the credit bureaus. Very unprofessional, our payment isn’t even late yet, and I know the payoff was sent because I work at the dealership we sold it to!!!

RayeLee Crowden1Gloria was the worst customer service experience I ever encounter. For her being a branch manager, I would expect her to be more civil. This bank started charging us courtesy fees even when we had the money in our bank account and then kept charging us until it was almost negative! The worst part is that they closed our account a day after we hit negative balance not honoring the 30 day policy. If you want a bank that will give you hidden fees charges and manipulate policies to the banks advantages. Members choice is the bank for you!

Tihara McPherson3I’ve been banking with them for many, many years. Not completely dissatisfied, but not completely satisfied. It would have been helpful to change the hours of operation on the phone recording or on the website for December 26th so I wouldn’t have driven from out of town to catch them before closing at 12p. Posting it on the door was great for everyone who’d actually physically been to the bank prior to. I hadn’t been so I didn’t know. And I called and checked the website INTENTIONALLY so I wouldn’t waste a trip, and wasted one anyway. Also, I’ve always been concerned about is the loan to help you improve your credit. If I’m trying to make a loan to pay off creditors because my credit isn’t good, why would my credit be a factor in that decision? Duh, we’ve already established that it isn’t good. (Still don’t understand that)...

Landri C1I have banked with this company for years and I have had very few problems until today! Tiffany is the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life they are rude and have 0 customer service skills they only care about money and will take you for every dime you have! I would NOT Recommend this bank to a dog!!

Sheila Cromer1Have been banking with them for at least 20 years maybe longer, have bought several cars through them and had several loans all that has been paid off and never late but that does not matter when getting a loan they base your interest rate off of your credit score. Also they only give one courtesy overdraft fee a year. I called to see if I could get and overdraft returned the same day they charged me but the supervisor said no, told me I already had one for the year and that I have free checking maybe I ought to consider the checking with the $300 balance at all times. Everyone cannot afford do that. I remember when I first started with this credit union they were about helping people but that has been long gone out the door. Will probably get punished for making this post as well.

Timmie Tattoo1Worst service in Waco! I told them I didn’t want overdraft protection and put it on anyways. For four years I’ve been trying to get it off. Four years later, they take it off and they informed me that they would still take out charges if scheduled payments didn’t go through. I’m going to bank somewhere else. The best advice I can give you if you’re thinking of banking here, DON’T! It will literally save you more money banking somewhere else.

Torey Raney1I moved to another state without physically walking into their building to tell them as I did not have a forwarding address when I moved. Now I owe them money for returned mail. I've been a member for 37 years and get treated like this. Unbelievable. Next time I am physically in the building will be to close all my accounts.
