  The customer service is so awful that representatives provide incorrect information. My loan closed in October 2021 and I still have not received my escrow refund of over $2,000. They sent the first check to the wrong city and zip code. It was returned to them for the wrong address and they did not contact me. Then, even though they had the check, I was told it would be 7 days for the stop payment to process, and 7 to 10 business days to reissue a new check. I finally received the check and deposited it. Five days later they put a stop payment on the check and my account was debited. If the process is the same as last time, I will have to make 10+ calls to get another check sent. I will never finance with Megastar again because it seems like a fraudulent way to keep escrow refunds.

  We had a great experience with Jeff. Throughout the entire mortgage process he was professional, experienced, and on the ball for every twist and turn of the process. Highly recommended and I will send all my friends, and anyone who needs a mortgage, directly to him.

  A loan officer here Elizabeth Williams got us approve for a loan by lieing to underwriters. We sold our starter home thinking we could upgrade then we're told our approval was void. We have no way to legally cancel the sale of our home so we're about to be homeless with two kids. Guess we get to pay double what our mortgage was for an apartment 1/2 the size.

  I'm a first-time home buyer and John Rocco made the whole process so easy the purchase went off without a hitch. He was always available and easy to reach, he checked in with me regularly, and was extremely kind and patient answering all of my questions. The seller wanted to expedite closing and John Rocco made it happen. I will recommend him to everyone.

  The refinance officer was good to work with. As a company, they are terrible. They didn't pay my insurance through the escrow account which caused it to cancel. They then fined me for having a lapse. When I had to find new insurance, they charged me $1k more a year. No apology or anyone from the company. Needless to say, less than 6 months later I'm refinancing to not have to deal with Megastar ever again.

  The mortgage process for our second home was great. However, setting up automatic payments resulted in TWO payments pulled from my account. 25 days later and varying stories (from a reverse ACH will occur in 3 business days, to a check will be mailed in 18 days to 'you should just leave it and count it for your next payment') has left us $2333 short for almost an entire month. And now the check is not expected until well after the first of the next month, which will be beyond the next payment date by the time it clears my bank. Unreal. The biggest disappointment is the lack of consistent messaging, honesty and inability to provide reasonable protocol to ensure an overpayment can be resolved in a 'reasonable' time period. I will now have an aversion response whenever I need to reach out to them for support, information or anything.

  Pam helped me with a mortgage for a home when I moved to Cañon City earlier this year. She was recommended to me by the realtor selling my old place in the Denver area, and what a fabulous recommendation that was! Pam made the whole process seemless. Everyone was transacted electronically, we had regular phone calls with updates or the occasional request for some documentation, and it all proceeded smoothly! Right down to the closing date, we had not one single hitch.   Want or plan to buy a house, please don’t hesitate to call or walk in to MEGASTAR and reach PAMELA TODD. She’s amazing & great woman with phenomenal experience. She knows where to start even you don’t know much about mortgage process. The first time I met her, she took about 45mins to explain and teach me all about mortgage because I had no idea about it. She took care of everything from A to Z. She showed me many ways and better ways for me to move forward. She treated me like one of her family. She always told me that she was there to help me which was truth. I got my house through The smoothest and most understanding condition. I can’t thank her enough, Just my wife and I want to let her know that we are very thankful for all she has done to us. Highly recommended.
