  I bought a difficult property made up of many old deeds. ME title took the time to find and figure them all out. This showed extensive knowledge of Maine's property laws and processes. All of our contacts were pleasant, professional and responded to our questions throughout the process in a timely manner. I would highly recommend ME title.

  My experience hasn't even ended, but is going poorly. I've sold my house, have a cash buyer (no appraisal or inspection delays). Originally they said no problem to close by November 1st. I'd sent signed P&S on 10/13. Never received a call back. I called the individual who was to take care of the next step. Didn't have a clue who I was even though we'd had a number of convos prior to signing P&S. She claimed to have no file for us, then found , but had been misfiled. Apparently she thought this was amusing that she "doesn't know the alphabet. Chuckle, chuckle chuckle". She said in the title lawyer's hands now. Found it in her in basket, never touched. I said obviously we weren't going to be ae to close by Nov. 1 if nothing had been done. She said probably not until Nov 10. I asked for a call back from the woman who was going to be taking care of that step to verify, never received a call back. Today is November 8th and I haven't received any call, so obviously this closing won't be on the 10th nor anytime close. I recommend finding a different title company.

  We're sorry that we fell short of your expectations. Each file is different and while we strive to get everything done ASAP, things like sickness during this pandemic, unforeseen title issues, and just a large amount of files to get though, can slow us down. We are a small local business with one location and we do not have a team of attorneys to do title work or another office to outsource them to. We all work hard and put our heart and soul into our work, we make every effort to get things done on time. Your file was put under the wrong letter in the processors files by accident, but it did not effect how or when the title attorney would get to your title search as she had her own file, plus an electronic file. We do have two employees here with the same name and they often get confused for each other. The processor wasn't aware of your file because she hadn't spoken to you before, you would have spoken to the attorney here with the same name during your purchase and sale creation. Additionally, as much as we would love to memorize all our customers names and files, we do deal with a high number of files and sometimes need some information to jog our memories. As for the title attorney not calling you to confirm when she would be done with your search, she generally doesn't take calls as it takes time away from the title research. We thank you for your business, and again apologize for not meeting your expectations for communication and timeliness. It is certainly not the experience we work so hard to provide to our valued customers.

  The ladies that work here are top notch and accommodating. Kristi worked multiple days while she was on vacation to ensure we closed on time due to our mortgage lender dropping the ball. Every single person we spoke to here was amazing and helpful. Highly recommended!
