Jennifer McGill5One of my favorite pawn shops in the area bc they always have something I can use and It's one of the cleanest, most organized pawn shops around. The items they have there: lots of good tools, tons of audio, electronics, phones, tablets and lawn and garden stuff, fishing gear, household appliances and other uninteresting things are usually brand name, good products that turn over regularly. They don't sell junk and that's a good thing. Their prices, I think, may be a little higher than other places but it's a different atmosphere here. The people working here treat you with respect and run the pawn shop well. If you need some money and have something to pawn, let them take a look at your item. Most likely, MaxPay Pawn will give you the amount, or close to the amount, you want.
Response from the ownerThank you for your kind review about our pawn shop and look forward to seeing you shop with us again.

Jason G1Rip Off Joint, buyer beware. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. They have coupons for 15% off for this store which didn’t apply to my purchase. Anyway I bought 3 items from this store. I gave them a 15 percent coupon code which they have a card for. I purchase items and went to my car. I looked at my receipt and they gave me 5 percent off 1 item and 15 cents not percent off 2 of the items. I walked back in the store 5 minutes later and showed them my receipt. Saying the price was wrong when they rang me up. I asked if I can return my items or get a price adjustment. I asked nicely, did not get loud and even explained to them they rang me up wrong. The lady’s at the store said “ALL Sales are Final”. I then asked as nice as I can for a refund within a few minutes of purchase or credit and the lady’s were very rude to me and even threaten to call the cops. Like me the consumer did something wrong when all I did was ask for my money back or a return in a matter of a few minutes of a purchase because they rang me up wrong. They made me feel like I was a criminal after I spent money. I asked to speak to the manager and they said they were the manager. They are willing to lose a customer For Good over a matter of $10 or so and even threaten me. As for me, I feel like I got completely ripped off and they did not try to make it correct. Just treated me so rude after all I wanted them was to correct the price.
Response from the ownerWe are very sorry for your bad experience, we want all of our customers to have a good experience in our store, our policy is all sales are final, I remember your transaction very well, you gave us your coupon for the 15% off and you were given 5% off of each of your three items which equals up to 15% percent, we tried to explain our policy and the percentage to you but you became irate with us and we don't tolerate irate customers as it scares our other shoppers, so we do have the authority to contact police for escort out of the store.

Dillon Daniels1This place is a ripoff.. I bought 2 Playstation controllers from them yesterday, got home and one doesn't work AT ALL and the other has a broken joystick so it's unusable, I went back the very next day and the guy just tells me ALL SALES ARE FINAL, No one said anything about that before I left there, also there's nothing on my receipt stating that as well, I paid 85.58 for 2 broken controllers and they didn't say buy (As Is) or (Damaged) or anything to make you think they wouldn't work 100%.. This place is selling broken good as if there in good condition.. If you know like I know don't waste any time at this place it's sad cause I was hoping to be a frequent shopper..
Response from the ownerI am very sorry for your experience at our shop but both our registers and the bottom of all receipts do say ALL SALES FINAL, we are very appreciative of all our repeat customers, welcome new ones and treat all our customers as fair as possible

ennui iunne1I had my intelligence insulted in regards to trying to sell things to them. One time I got 10 USD for something I said was 38 or so, basically 1/4th of the retail, the second time I went to sell two items suddenly it's 1/9th or so. I suppose everything is stolen goods then because no one would sell things they own at 1/9th. Even if not because they let me get it for 1/4th one time and then told me something about an automatic calculation the next time, as though freedom of commerce doesn't exist, it's just insulting to my intelligence. 1/4th is painful enough as it is of course but to be expected economically. Then again maybe I'm naive and the items are supposed to be from stolen sources. I figured they'd keep appreciating my 1/4th desiring of the retail price, the honesty, and that it's reasonable, rather than trying to lie and get as much as possible but it only worked the first time as I told them the price of the listing both times. If society likes stealing and or lying then that's okay, I don't have to like it though. It's not like my items were odd ones either.
Response from the ownerSorry you feel this way about our shop, we give a percentage based on the value of your item at the time you bring it to us, and even though customers show us a listing we still have to do our own research on the item as the value of items can change from day to day.

T.j. Wright4What made me stop was the zero turn mowers outside. I figured I'd stop in and see what other lawn tools they had. I came it with two co-workers all of us wearing a mask. This is a very secure location so we were buzzed in. I'm not sure who said hey first but we did feel welcome. The guy behind the counter was discussing a possible sale with a customer so instead of just asking directly because he was busy we just easily seen the isle we wanted and went to view the tools. They have a great assortment of things for sale but my main focus was tools.
Response from the ownerWe are sorry for your bad experience that employee is no longer with us

Danny Temples5I have purchased several items from this location, the employees are always pleasant and helpful compared to most other pawn shops where they could care less if you stopped in there shop or not. Way to go Max Pawn, the owner must be doing something right!
Response from the ownerThank you for your review on your great shopping experience in our store, we look forward to seeing you shop again.

Bram Wilens1Bought a used Porter Cable impact driver MaxPay advertised on Buya. They ended up sending me a different model altogether. Spoke with them on the phone and was promised a full refund to include return shipping cost ($15.50), on top of original shipping and purchase price ($40). They acknowledged their mistake and refunded the $40 through Paypal, but have ignored my emails politely asking them to fulfill on their promise for a return shipping refund. Buyer beware.
Response from the ownerI am sorry you feel this way about the product, the product with the item number in the order you made was the correct item number but I do apologize that the ad was mis-labeled, sorry for any inconveince this may have caused you, we do have a all sales are final policy but it was our mistake so we refunded you the original price and shipping that you paid for the item.
