Marine Federal Credit Union Reviews

Mike Atoyan1Overpromise & Under deliver! If you live near numerous MFCU locations this may not be a bad option but I can't speak on the customer service of the actual locations. It was great back in 2006 but then again so was the overall service of the credit union. Now, I only keep this account because of the good interest rate on the checking account. I work for a large regional bank so I understand the need for fees and can put up with more than someone who may not have the same work experience. However, when I started getting charged a fee from MFCU to use another banks ATM I was confused. I understand paying the ATM fee of the bank who owns the ATM but Marine Federal charging me an additional fee on top of that is ridiculous. The customer service when you call is useless as well. If you ever plan on leaving an area where there are multiple MFCU locations I would suggest getting a new primary banking option. They do have shared banking options with other credit unions but you can't even use their ATM's in most instances without an additional fee from MFCU. To give you an idea there are 2 ATM in the greater Cincinnati Ohio area that I can use without a fee, it's not worth the trouble. If you are able to get in touch with a supervisor good luck. The last one I spoke with was very condescending and acted as if he was doing me a huge favor just by speaking with me. Do some research and find a bank or credit union that won't be a hassle when you leave Jacksonville.

Matthew Meyers2Marine Federal Credit Union is comprised mainly of Military pariahs' looking into the actual Marine Corps. They are a business, in it to make money like every other business. make no mistake they will not do you any favors or help you out if it doesnt help them. buyer beware, its all about the almighty dollar, regardless of your deployment or finacial status they will do everything to get money for themselves.

Tysarena Palmer1Fast service here is a joke. Literally was in the drive thru for 45 minutes and it's a drive thru! There was only one other car next to me. And I didn't have a hard transaction at all. This isn't the first time this has happened I actually come here all the time to make my car payment and it usually take's them about 15 minutes which is crazy considering it is a drive thru ! But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and just kept coming here. Now this will be my last time ever coming to this location I do not have time to just sit around for 45 minutes and wait for something that is so sinple to do!

Consumer14180 Western Blvd. The representatives there are rude and uninformed and incompetent. We ordered checks from a representative. We waited and waited. No checks. We went back to inquire about them. They were never ordered😡 They didn’t even apologize for their mistake.

T G1You would think that they would help a fellow military personal out but they don't. They have the power to help but choose to do nothing. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone.
