  I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation that I have for Marcel and his team!! From the first date (that seems like an eternity ago), to receiving funding notification this Monday, Marcel and his team kept me up to date and in the loop. Any and ALL questions I had were answered promptly and any problems that arose (and there were...) were tackled together. Just to show you the lengths and depth this company will take for thier customers: I was in a 26' moving truck, had driven 7.5 hrs to S.Texas and was sitting in the parking lot of the Title company to close on my new house, when we were called by the title company, telling me the closing was off, not on hold, but off....all because of a clerical error that couldn't be fixed. In less than 30 minutes, Marcel and his team found another title company that was able to work with ne and we were able to close this past Monday. Any future real estate that I need from now on, I am a customer FOR LIFE!!! Thank you so much for helping me make the dream of home ownership a reality for my family!!!

  It is very difficult to summarize the stress-free & streamlined way in which Marcel & team handled my loan processing. Right from the first call where Marcel was courteous to explain the process through to the closing discussions with Tanny, the entire team rallied around me as if I was their only customer (they process something like 25-30 closings a day potentially more!). Dina deserves a special mention for the focus she placed on answering my questions though she had to attend to a personal situation that would have otherwise taken any normal persons' attention. Above all, I want to share my biggest gratitude to Jan.....he was truly my partner through the entire process - patiently clarifying the asks, brainstorming with me on the way to approach a particular situation, being available whenever needed and responding within the day for any reach-outs. In particular, since in my case the timelines were pretty aggressive, Jan even reviewed disclosures sitting at the airport so that it doesnt hold back the timelines. If I told anyone that the end-to-end closure from Offer acceptance to signing at the title company was 19 calendar days - 14 WORKING DAYS, yes FOURTEEN, it was all possible because of Jan & the dedicated team there. Big thank you Jan! Looking forward to more such exciting collaborations in the future. Those that i didnt know at the beginning of April 1 have become associates for life by April 25th!!   Working with Marcel, Jan, and the whole team at Guaranteed Rate made the home buying process so much easier than I ever would have expected it could be! As a first time buyer in this absolutely crazy market, the loan approval process was honestly the least stressful thing about our entire transaction. Marcel and the team were extremely responsive to any questions we had and were diligent about keeping us updated through each step as we made progress toward closing. Having the ability to reach out to a real live person with the lender and knowing we’d receive a response was instrumental in helping ease some of the anxiety we felt during the process. They provided very clear direction about the “dos and don’ts” during underwriting and what to expect next as we moved ahead every step of the way. I would definitely recommend Marcel and Guaranteed Rate to anyone who’s considering a home purchase and is looking for a lender that isn’t a faceless void of menu options and unanswered messages.

  Marcel, Jan, and the rest of the team were all extremely responsive and quick to meet all our needs--from our initial questions about beginning the loan process, all the way through to closing. Everything went smoothly each step of the way. Although home buying is stressful, I never had to worry about this team getting back to me on time, meeting our deadlines, or pulling together documents on short notice if needed. We compared a couple of lenders before choosing, and this team was the most responsive & had the best rates.

  When we first began looking at homes, we knew we had to get pre-qualified. Our realtor referred us to Marcel and his team with Guaranteed Rate. We spoke to Marcel to discuss what we were looking for and then Nick Buckley started working on our prequalification. We were pleasantly surprised with the numbers he came up with. He put a lot of work into ensuring we were getting the best rates. After we finally decided on a home, the builder offered discounts if we wanted to use their lender. We had already decided that Guaranteed Rate had done such a wonderful job that we didn’t want to change our lender, even if we were missing out on the extra discounts. There was a lot of work to do in the last couple of days before closing, but Nick did an amazing job and kept us updated and informed. We will be looking to refinance into a VA loan in about a year and already plan to work with Guaranteed Rate, Marcel and Nick again!

  Marcel was an amazing part of my latest real estate transaction. My buyers had a unique situation and had been working with another lender for weeks.   I worked with Jan as a first time home buyer. He was wonderful to work with, always prompt and helpful. He explained a lot of the technical jargon in language that was easy to understand. His reports for various loan options were what really made me decide to work with his team vs other lenders. It could have been a challenging environment due to the current pandemic times, but Jan made the process as easy as possible.

  Do not recommend using this branches services. As first time home buyers we were taken advantage of and due to miscalculations on their end we are now in a financial bind. I have several email threads and texts that show how we were treated as customers and first time home buyers. They are all about the money and that’s very apparent. Just a sad experience of what was supposed to be one of the happiest parts of our lives. Happy to share our experience in more detail for anyone that has questions.
