  I love the people who work here and the personalized service but some processes need major improvement. It currently takes 24+ hours to authorize increases on a debit card (after going into the branch to request the increase) - makes it difficult for people who do not use credit cards to pay for sudden larger expenses (i.e. car repair). The process for getting your money back after debit card fraud is beyond inconvenient. Was told it would take at least 10 days to get the money back after going into the branch to fill out pages of paperwork. I appreciate the hard work on the part of the employees and realize the constraints in place by the many authorizations needed and the fact that it is a smaller shop doing things in house but I'm shocked the process for such things takes so long and requires so many follow ups on the part of the customer.

  Its 2020 and this bank has one of the worst online banking presence I've ever seen and dealt with. It was difficult and confusing to set up an account and handle any transactions online. The features this bank offers is elementary at best. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank unless you feel the need to live in the 1950s and do every transaction in person with pencil and paper.

  I Never ever received a loan despite the various times I applied. I had 4 loans with pioneer valley credit union in springfield and i was never late and all of them were paid on time. Recently I deposited a check from one of my banks to cover my account for other things coming into Luso and I get a 35.00 charge. Back in the day they would make sure if you put a check in that it cleared and they paid what was coming through without bouncing it.

  When I was about to buy a house in Springfield, I contacted my bank (where my parents had also banked for decades) and they put me off despite my good credit rating and the many years my parents had banked with them. I was shocked: they claimed that they were holding back because I had changed jobs twice in the past three years. Yes, I had done so because I am a teacher, and twice my job was "downsized". Yet I had relocated, I had never stopped working even when I was broken-hearted to relocate. So a close friend advised me to go to Luso Federal Credit Union. The rest is history. Obrigada, Luso!

  Bait and switch. Be careful of Mortgage promises. We used Alden Credit Union much better rate!
