  I have had an account with this Credit Union for over 7 years. Currently I am traveling internationally and despite letting them know I am traveling they have shut down my card 5 times and left me stranded. They did this to me while I was traveling to Atlanta a few years ago and shut down my card twice last year while I was living in Washington. It is a part time job just to call them and have it reactivated and they are always condescending about it. If you want a debit card that will work reliably then look elsewhere for your banking needs. EDIT: I called 2 weeks prior to my travels and put a notice in on my online account and this still happened. This was also the case in Atlanta.

You can place a Travel Notices in our mobile/online banking. Our security monitors transactions and if there isn't a note on the card and a transaction happens out of town, they may restrict card. These measures are taken to prevent potential fraud. In the past you needed to make a call to let us know, now you can place you're own note and travel dates.   I got a very satisfying visit with one of your associates. Her name is Maricris, she gave her best to help us and she’s very accommodating, polite and helpful. LAFCU is very lucky to have such employee like her. Thank you so much for your time.

  Malou helped us with our financial issues we had. She was very personable, professional and took care of our needs. We made an appointment online, therefore only had to wait until we were called. Thanks Malou! !!

  This location is great and the staff is very helpful, (Maricris helped me not make a stupid financial decision, so that's great!), my only gripe is that the mobile app is a bit jank.

  Horrible customer service - they were unable to help me resolve the 4 plus over draft fees I occurred in 1 day and refused to help me when I’m already in a hard time - stay away from this bank

  Horrible online and customer service. You cannot make your loan payments early, therefore forcing you to pay the Maximum interests. Also if you try you will just end up making multiple payments yet the website will tell you otherwise. customer service doesn’t know what they are doing and gave me wrong info numerous times. I was charged twice in March attempting to simply pay early. Customer service could not return my money and instead were supposed to pause my payment for April because of this, woke up today to another charge.
