  The worst! We made our payments, sent to address on the address on the payment coupon and Loan Depot said they did not receive our payment, yet they send thank you for your payment not on the billing statements. The payments are going to Imortgage and NO ONE, seems to know who is Imorgage or why Loan Depot is thanking us for payment, and the calling to say our payment was not received. It goes on and on.

  Pretty much incompetence from day 1! Took us a week beyond our original close date to actually close the loan. Once closed, it has been impossible to get tax documents because apparently they moved the funding loan to their in-house servicing (now that’s funny) and there is no record of our original loan? When I sent an email and explained that I needed tax documents, I included the mailing address to which my mortgage payments were sent. Their response? They changed my mailing address to the company’s own address—the address where I sent the loan payments!! Called and managed to fix that, but apparently there is no record of my “old loan.” The crack representative I spoke with told me to call a different phone number—I did and the automated system immediately switched my call to my new servicing center. Finally gave up and decided I would use the December mortgage statement as the documentation of the interest paid in 2020. This week I got a threatening letter saying “our records show your insurance has lapsed” and Loan Depot is going to buy an expensive policy since we don’t have coverage. No, you clowns, we are six months into the same policy we had when we took out the mortgage with you. Unfortunately, rates have jumped since we originally financed the purchase, but I’m going to look anyway. There is nothing quite like sitting on hold for 40 minutes listening to a message about how their customers are their #1 priority?! Boy, I’d hate to see how well the execute on their other priorities. Try a different lender!!

  If there were a -5 stars I would have checked it. Our experience with Loan Depot was horrific to say the least and I would highly recommend staying away from them, nothing but lies and deception. It started out great with promises and commitments that they would always be there for us and the big one was, they don't sell their loans and I don't know how many times our loan officer pointed that out to us. We were building our dream home with an 800+ credit score with 2 other lenders competing to get our business. We picked Loan Depot for three reasons. One; the commitment they supposedly had for us, as mentioned above, two; the option to do a recap, and three; they don't sell the loan, we also really liked our loan officer. The recap option would allow us to wait until after closing to sell our existing home and then put the money back into the loan with no closing bringing down our monthly payment at no cost up to a year. A few weeks prior to closing I mentioned putting down the expected money from our existing home to avoid having to even do a recap or give us the option later with other funds if we decided. Our loan officer recommended we keep the loan as is and use the recap after the sale of our house as that's what this type of loan was for, there was no reason to take money from our savings for this. We closed on our new house, put our old house on the market and within a week it sold, money was funded and we were now looking at starting the process of investing some and putting the rest towards the recap. During the next week we received a letter to say our loan had been sold, voiding any recap and all the commitments given by Load Depot, we hadn't even made the first payment. Talk about being devastated; this was an absolute shock and kick in the face for us and we felt totally betrayed that they coached us into winning their business with pure lies and deception. We were basically stuck with a huge loan payment with no options from the new Leander. After days and hours on the phone they told us there was a section in the loan papers that did in fact mention a possible sale of the loan, yes, it was mentioned, yes we read it, but our advisor said that NEVER happens and was added into all loans for "legal purposes only". From the beginning we felt like she was a friend and really looking out for us but obviously NOT. As far I we are concerned this company has no interest in your wellbeing, your new loan, your family or your new home, it's all about the money, get you in and sell you off. I had to write this as I keep seeing the commercials about how great they are and how they're there to help you. It makes me fuming mad every time I see one on TV. This company basically screwed us over completely. This is no way to treat someone with the kind of money we had invested.

  highly recommend this lender!! if you planning to get a mortgage loan, this will be the best place to get it.. they provide you tips to improve your credit score if you need to ( i really needed it😅) trust the process and your loan consultant!! shotout to my loan consultant que tambien habla español🙌🏻 able to explain everything on both languages. thank you loan depot for letting my hubby and I accomplish our dream of being homeowners ❤️

  Amy C. ,Senior Loan Officer, is the best in this field!!! She walked me though everything and explained things in simple language. I am blessed to have Amy taking care of me.   The loan officer Debbie Villareal did not give us up to date information when we started our property search and ended up costing us thousands more in down payment and closing costs as a result. She then tried to blame us, telling us we’d been looking too long when my husband spoke with her several times and we weren’t even notified of the increase in cost until we were about to sign our closing paperwork. Terrible customer service! Stay away from her and this place!

  Lied about price to try and get me to sign. They told me a lower price and then all of a sudden it $200 before signing. Scummy company. Leslie Perez is a lying cheat

  Worst company ever. Your fixed amount will raise year over year and they post late payments when you pay early. They won’t answer the customer service line. No wonder US News ranks them below average.
