loanDepot Reviews

J Henningson1I was willing to give them my business. I wish I would have read these reviews beforehand. The “loan officer” had me go through all the steps as quickly as possible. To be of zero help at all. He absolutely degraded me. Try to crazy make me by telling me I didn’t give home the right tax documents from turbo tax and photos of the original documents. I sent them 4 times. He told me “ No you didn’t that’s what you think in your brain”WTF?? I told him originally I was just going to go through my credit union those are the documents. He cut me off and said “WELL GO THROUGH YOUR CREDIT UNION THAN” How unprofessional. Other reviews talk about them so desperately wanting business they won’t stop calling. Once they have a good client that rushes the documents, CORRECT DOCUMENTS, they have”YOU” run “YOUR CREDIT “ just to call you at 9am and yell at you. Im educated, run a business, and work additional jobs. I have saved for this opportunity. I DID call customer care and that’s as far as it went. They never discussed interest rates, or procedure, just a quick run down and get your paper work in. Sean Pringles is trash for a man. Probably works on commission, hates his life hates his wife. For as fast as he was talking and not working on my case…. For as brave as he was to spit in my ear via phone… he obviously needs to lay of the METH. If he’s this terrible at his “job” he should find a new hobby. 🤘🏼🙏🏻

Lucas Rutt5My wife and I worked with loanDepot during the crazy housing market of spring 2021. Our agent Josh M. went above and beyond to help secure our home for us in the incredibly competitive market. I know their name is terrible, but what they do is fantastic. So glad we purchased with loanDepot!!

Charles Tuozzo-Nieding1It has been an exhausting and error filled experience still going on at the time of this review- we started a VA stream line refinance in December 2020 and we are still trying to close (March 09, 2021) for a third time with no date locked in as of today, caused by error after error by the loan processing team. Would have researched another company if it was not for the fact that rates are increasing currently.
Response from the ownerHi Chaz Nieding – Thank you for this review. Your experience is important to us and we take your concerns very seriously. Please reach out to our Customer Care team at 888-337-6888 (x6789) or [email protected].

Kat W1This company got my family excited to have our first home and ended up trying to get us in a house with such a high interest rate that we would have been eating crackers for the next 15 years. This is a very unfair, unhappy, shifty company. Beware. Our families dream has been broken 💔😢😔.

Terry Hahn2We made an online inquiry for refi of a second home. After receiving our options, and talking to my wife, I told the loan officer we were not interested. We said no to a loan after 30 minutes of talking to the loan officer. Since then we have received several emails and phone calls from other loan depot people wanting to talk about our refi request. I replied to several emails saying we do not want to be contacted by anyone at loan deport, but the calls and emails continued. My wife and I even received large loan packets at our home after already saying no to a loan. I replied to the last email that I don;t want any further contact and that I would be filing complaints with BBB and other agencies including social media. Hopefully the harassing calls and emails will stop. Lesson learned...don’t make online requests for loans. You will be bombarded by emails and phone calls from multiple companies that go on and on. Go to a large well established bank for your loan. Oh yeah, and the loan depot emails do not provide an option to unsubscribe from their emails. What a frustrating company to deal with.
Response from the ownerHi Terry Hahn -- Thank you for reaching out to us about this concern. Please contact our customer care team at 888-337-6888 (x6789) or message [email protected], and we will place you on our Do Not Call list.

Chris Heyer1Aggressive and disrespectful sales people. I can't believe the nerve of the two different people that called me. I flat out said that I'm not interested and please to not call again and they both started arguing with me about it and kept asking questions and playing games. Terrible experience from "professionals". Update 07/17/2021 - This company keeps calling me despite promising to stop.
Response from the ownerHi Chris Heyer -- Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please connect with our Customer Care team at 888-337-6888 (x6789) or [email protected] and we will do our best to help resolve the issue.
