  The Loan Closet in Santa Barbara has been a total lifesaver for our family. Our daughter is in college there and we live in Northern CA. We know one person in SB who told us about this place and this nonprofit had crutches to our daughter by the end of her urgent care appointment. With new health insurance for her, we wouldn't have known where to begin to get equipment and certainly would have had to pay for the wheelchair, scooter, crutches, shower chair AND leg pillow she needed after breaking her ankle and needing surgery. We've all agree that there is a special place in heaven for David and The folks working at and supporting the Loan Closet. THANK YOU. We are forever grateful.

  Awesome service this place provides. The employees are wonderful. They loaned us a knee scooter for a couple months for an ankle injury. Thank you so much Loan Closet!

  The Loan Closet is a life saver. If you need some mobility assistance or daily function equipment, this is the place to get a loaner. Try it out before making a purchase or use it for free until you heal. If you have equipment at home that you no longer need, the Loan Closet will accept your donation. Pass the equipment on to someone in need. A win win situation.

  Excellent service and warm manner when most needed. I went when my father needed a walker after surgery. Now thst a friend needed a walker also I didn't know if they would lend it to me. I explained them my situation and about my friend and they were so compasionated and warm. Thank you, those were very hard times in my life.♡♡♡

  David was so pleasant and helpful. During such a stressful time it was so nice to have someone just say, “Yes, I’ll put it aside for you right now.” No hoops to jump through, lots of resources, and this will get my mom settled back home until we access her new needs. Thank you so much.

  This was an amazing experience. I called on New Year's Eve needing crutches. I got there and was helped immediately by a woman who adjusted the crutches for me and then seeing my foot located and talked with the wonderful man working there to get me a knee scooter. I took that home and used both until i saw the doctor a few days later. I can not thank them enough as i was in terrible pain.

  Such a wonderful place, which provides needed devices to those who've had accidents or medical mishaps, without the need to pay- canes, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, etc. A worthy charity to support, if you have the means.

  If you're in need of medical equipment i.e., walkers, commodes, toilet risers, etc., this is the place. They will loan them to you and then when your through with the item you can return it. All items sanitized and in good working order. Wonderful service for the community.
