I've banked with this credit union for almost 10 years with a handful of loans. This branches management staff lacks any type of humility and operates in an extremely unethical manner. Run into tough financial circumstances? They could absolutely care less and will literally leverage basic services like reprinting a new debit card, unless you pay a loan that is only 2 weeks past due while you have no income, after you explained to a loan officer your financial circumstances and reassured them it would be paid soon. Simply mind boggling and they should be ashamed of their behavior towards members of their community. I sold a vehicle for more than what was owed on a loan, instead of transferring the overage or even the partial amount to my bank account, they required me to apply all of it it to a late loan payment of a few weeks. Whilst explaining to them I was under challenging financial circumstances and that even applying a partial payment would give me necessary money for daily living until I got my normal paycheck. They would rather leave you without a dollar in your account regardless of circumstances. They will charge you the absolute highest interest rate possible unless you have impeccable credit, without even mentioning an interest rate unless you ask. They wont offer any guidance or recommend maybe that this loan should be refinanced as early as possible. They could care less about your financial well being. For anything other than basic banking activities, I would stay far away from any type of lending from this financial institution.

I live an hour out of town and I called on a Friday to ask if I could get a new card printed because my current card barely worked, they said yes so I drove over an hour to get it printed. When i got there, i was told the printer was down for the past several days and there was nothing they could do about it. They then told me they could print me a new card but it would take 7-10 business days. Before agreeing to printing a new card, I asked if I could still use my current card until I got my new card, they told me yes. 30 min later, i tried to use my card but it got declined. It got declined because they decided to turn my card off without my permission after telling me they would keep it on. After being lied to twice in one day, by two different employees, and them telling me they can do absolutely nothing about it, I 100% suggest going to any other credit union possible. I will never go back to this credit union again. Unable to access my money and they don’t seem to care about it even though it is THEIR fault for lying to me twice in one day.

This was the only place I could get a loan for my vehicle. Its been 2 years and its been nothing but unprofessional run arounds. They never answer the phone, give misleading information and are never open until their full time. I've tries to make my payment 4 timea this month and its been either closed, they dont answer or I try to pay it at a local place they stated I can, but the tellers say thats untrue. So annoying. You try to be an adult and pay your bills on time, but thats never the case here.

I closed out my account and now I’m getting a run around for $5 back. I wouldn’t recommend this credit union to anyone.

Our family turned to Lake Huron Credit Union when our boiler went out. They gave us a (secured) loan, but charged us 17.9% . My advice would to find a credit union which has courtesy (professional)staffing, and where they work with you(help?).

Very kind people who work here. Most of my family have accounts here, recently had an issue with my new card not working and a worker named Alicia there was very patient and made sure I was taken care of was extraordinarily in her kindness and hospitality.

Worst place to get your car loan ... make sure not to ask for Domnick or you’ll end up wasting time.
