La Loma FCU Reviews

Janice5Early this month, Took a leap of faith to apply for auto loan. Viola! 2 days later, I got a call from Sylvia informing me I got approved. Not only that, during the time we were in the bank, Isabella Torres was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable of her job. I’m glad I went in that day and they helped me saved thousands of dollars of interests from my previous auto loan. Best decision ever to be a member of La Loma FCU!

Cristal Hernandez3Long story short, I left because of bad customer service. I honestly liked this bank, until I realized my bank account was hacked. Someone got my account and used it to pay Netflix. Unfortunately, I didn't notice for months. I went to the bank to fix the problem. They told me they couldn't reimburse me, not even the most recent month, or even cancel the payments; and that I had to take it to Netflix. I understood and was ready to go, but that didn't stop them from questioning me instead of just letting me go. The teller just kept sassily asking me, "really, you didn't notice, really." I wasn't rude or anything. All the workers were just starring at me, as if I was trying to pull a fast one. I had just been robbed, and they treated me like I was trying to rob them. I gave them 3 stars because I liked the setup they had going. Which is why, I ended up with a different credit union bank.

Morpheus Maximus1Absolutely worst bank. They have high interest loans and slip in hidden fees. Bad customer service. I wouldn't recommend this bank to my worst enemy.

Brandon Blue1The service has gotten worse and worse over the past few years but especially now with the current manager Jerry being a stubborn robot-like beuracrat that can’t use his brain to actually help the members like most other credit unions (or anyone with common decency) would. I don’t feel like this is a credit union that values it’s members anymore, it’s turning totally corporate it seems. I don’t feel Jerry was being fair with me with an account issue. I would give this place a solid 2 star rating normally but based on my experience with Jerry today, I’m going 1 star.

Louis Escobedo1My name is Louis and unfortunately I ended up getting a loan through them because of the dealer I purchased my vehicle with. I’ve had them for a few years and I’ve had nothing but problems and difficulties in trying to make it easier to make my payment. I work long hours so it’s hard to make it to the branch in Redlands. Specially sense they close early and earlier on Friday and close on Saturday. I have my wife take care of that for me and she’s been doing that for like 2 years or so. She recently had a bad experience when they told her that they couldn’t take the payment do to her license being expired(unbeknownst). She went to DMV that same day and got a permit. Sense la Loma was closed by then she said she’ll pay it o. Monday(12/30/19) she went back today and they still were given her a hard time. She asked for a manager and she was told that they were upstairs in a meeting. This was about 2:00 p.m. finally after all the drama she was able to make the payment. When I heard of this I lost it. I called about 7 times and I got nowhere with their answering service. Finally spoke with the clerk that said the same thing. The manager nor Micheal Puentes were not available. This was by 4:00-4:30 p.m. after the manager finally called me back I tried to explain why I was upset but she right away started explaining the situation of my wife being there and why they wouldn’t take our payment. She said that the reason this was 9/11. She was talking about Terrorism and others related situations. I tried to ask what did that had to do with us making a payment even tho she continued to interrupt every time I tried to talk. I had to speak over her and told her that We wore not trying to withdraw money or ask for a loan we wore simply trying to make a payment. I had to end the conversation with that because she wasn’t listening. I told her that I would never get another loan from them and would mention this situation to as many people as possible.

Robinson Vendiola1Terrible overall. Trash customer service: spent 10 minutes waiting while first on the line then had to deal with teller attitude afterwards for a mistake they did. Online accessibility is mediocre as well. Would not recommend this bank. Take your business somewhere else!

Kaitlin Darnell4Love La Loma. Very low apr which was great for my first credit card. I was surprised to see such low rating on here but reading the reviews I get it. If you’re used to how things work in Loma Linda/the Adventist world you’ll be fine. It’s really just that you can’t do a whole lot online which makes things slower.

Mary Ann1As a member I would like to know how do you advocate for your member and how do you address a concern? I recently experienced a situation in the bank and I was looking for answers. I ended up with more questions and doubts instead of answers. I also had a chance to view a security recorded video of the transaction I made. The video of the transaction was provided by the assistant manager of operation. I based my review on my experience and on what I saw on the video provided. The video showed to me has a minimal view and poor angle of the transaction. During the actual transactions all I can really see is the back and the head of the teller/cashier. I asked if that is the best video recording that they can provide for me and the answer is yes. I do believe banks should be equipped with video surveillance capturing a clear angle and a wider area specific on the main transaction between customers and teller/cashier. The video showed to me does not have a clear view of the transaction. The one provided for me to looked at contains the cashier's back and head blocking the actual view of the transaction to be specific me giving the cash to her the teller for deposit is not showed in the video recording. In my opinion a bank should be equipped with multiple video surveillance cameras capturing different angle to monitor the actual transaction with wider view of the customer and the cashier/ teller. I hope I am the only one who experienced this concern as I will feel bad for other members to experience such and not get a clear answer due to a video recording footage that is lacking clarity on the important details of the transaction that should have been recorded. Based on my experience I believe I was treated poorly and lost a deposit inside the bank because it did not get recorded into my account. Awful Phone customer service & assistant operation manager. I completely lost my trust to them. I do not recommend. Pull money out and go to another bank that can provide better security and customer service

G S1Would not recommend. I've been a member of this Credit Union since my late teens. Recently I complained because I could not access my account online and did not receive an updated debit card in the mail. It's been weeks and customer service still hasn't returned my calls. I will be closing my account.

Maihanne Villa1In my experience it’s difficult to address a concern. Grievance department non existent. I can’t trust my income on them. Do not entrust your savings. Look for a better bank that offers transparency and better security.
