Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union Reviews

Sandy2Been to this location several times and everything went great, but not yesterday. I had regular business to take care of, but I also had a few questions I wanted answered. The branch manager, Dieonne is her first name, asked what I needed. She said they didn’t take care of what I was asking about & needed to call company on paperwork. After several short irritating statements were made, she finally came up with phone number. She presented herself to me as unconcerned, too busy & too “important “ to help a customer that banks with them on a regular basis.
Response from the ownerHi Sandy, please email us a good contact number at [email protected] so we can call you about your experience. Thanks!

Shain Burgess1not real happy about being charged a $5 fee to pay a bill online. Paying a bill online seems like it would be easier on on TVA staff. The automotive phone service is even worse. You can not get anyone on the phone to answer any questions. Terrible customer service.
Response from the ownerHi Shain, we understand your frustration with a fee. The $5 convenience fee covers the cost to process the payment online through the "Make A Payment" tool. As a not-for-profit financial co-op, we try to keep our fees as low as possible. We offer other FREE Loan Payment options too: -As a Member, you can set up a transfer from your KTVAECU account to your loan payment. Login to online banking to schedule your transfer. -You can also set up an automatic monthly transfer from another financial institution. If you have any additional questions, please call us at (865) 544-5400.

Ann Smith1This is the worst bank in Sevier County. If you have an automatic payment withdrawing from your account, it goes through as soon as they open. This is even if they open, before their stated 8:30am time. I was in line in the drive-thru, and I was the first car served and they still charged me an overdraft fee @ 8:28am. I checked it right before I drove into the bank and it was pending. Ridiculous!!! CNB does not process or charge you for overdraft if you get your money in the bank by 2pm on the day your automatic payment comes out. Thank goodness I have my other account at CNB. I will definitely be closing this one. If you want to bank with a credit union, my advice is go to ORNL in Sevierville. If you are looking for a loan at TVA, there is one lady that works there that is rude and disrespectful. I was extremely happy when I paid off my auto loan two years early. I have no intentions of banking with rude people. FYI they are blood suckers at this bank, and not a friendly home town bank!!! Save yourself the trouble. I have heard other horrible stuff from other people who use to bank with them as well.
Response from the ownerHi Ann. We would like the opportunity to speak with about your situation. Could you please email [email protected] a good contact number so we can have someone reach out to you? Thanks!

Hannah Banana1Brittany was extremely rude today to my husband and it isn't the first time. Please someone educate her on social skills and how to print off bank activity statements that are required for mortgages. This is my husband's third time trying to get his information printed and she still couldn't get it right. I got mine printed with no problem on a very busy Saturday at the Clinton highway location. No excuse for your attitude Brittany!
Response from the ownerHi Hannah. Thank you for reaching out to us. We would like the opportunity to speak with you about you and your husband's situation. Feel free to email us directly at [email protected] so we can better serve you.

nick musall2What can I say I was a member for two years I finally had enough and closed my account the reason, was pretty simple customer service. I was sick of getting the run around as to why I could not access my money. Customer service and friendliness was way less than stellar. Somehow a magical power outage denied access to all of my funds. Also there was nobody to answer the phone either, so what did I do I drove to my local branch mysteriously they were closed. It seems that if you had thousands of peoples money you may want to show that we are working hard to fix the system glitch. The attitude is extremely nonchalant we don't care. The loan process is extremely horrible submitted apps online three separate times never heard anything back from anyone every which is simply amazing as within 24 hours I had a call back and a cashiers check in hand from my other credit union. The new security system is what finally was the straw that broke the camels back for me how ridiculous is it that I have to have your automated system call me everytime I try to log into my account. TVA when I joined I was looking for another lifelong relationship but I was sorely disappointed.

Nicole Bridges1Most worthless bank/credit union in the history or anything that I have experienced... On and off I have been with this place for 11 years. My card gets compromised 2 times in the less than 5 months. Their solution is to cancel my card and have me come back in and get another card again... No estimated time as to when my funds will be put back into my account. I have bills that are going to bounce and they can not give me a solution to this because their security system sucks. Yes, I used choice words because they are NOT helping me with a solution for their crappy service and security system .
Response from the ownerWe're very sorry for your experience! We would love to discuss this with you if you would like! You can call us at your convenience at (865)544-5400!

Dennis Whaley5This is best bank I've ever used. They go by your credit rating, what you have for collateral, who will put up something for your loan etc .., . However that is company policy / and good policy, which is also why they're usually one of the few banks, some years the only bank that make a profit.
Response from the ownerThanks Dennis for the review. We appreciate all of our Members and look forward to assisting you with your financial goals!
