  Highly recommend for those seeking to lease commercial space. Katie did a ton of work for us searching the market and scheduling tours. We ended up negotiating with a landlord who wanted to pay a less than standard brokerage commission. Even so Katie and Todd stuck with us and helped us a lot in tough negotiations. Couldn't have gotten through it without them.

  I hired Kidder for a commercial agricultural appraisal on a rural land loan. They charged $3k for this. They FAILED to actually evaluate the agricultural potential. When I asked them to re-do the appraisal PER THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT with my lender, they asked for an extra $1k. When I refused this, they said they'd do it for $500. I said yes. In this process, I did ALL OF THE WORK, including pro-formas, a business plan, etc. They did NOTHING. In the end, they came back and still said the highest and best use was residential, completely dismissing a lot of the work done in my business plan and pro forma. I don't think they actually did ANY research. So this effectively killed my commercial loan for the property. I then did a rural residential land loan through another lender. Kidder charged another $1k that was rolled into my loan JUST TO UPDATE my existing appraisal. So I've effectively paid $4k for an appraisal that in all honesty should have ben $2k, let alone it killing my commercial ag loan that cost me a lot of interest points. This company is taking advantage of the hot housing marketing and NOT providing services worth their asking price. STAY AWAY.

Kidder Mathews is professionally bound by USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) to report accurate valuation results, and it is standard practice to charge additional fees to update valuations based on intended land use.   A nightmare of a company, I've been dealing with them for over a year on all the problems related to them not being able to track the checks I send them. As of now, they haven't cashed or recorded the last 2 months payments. They used to call me asking for payment and I would send them proof and a month later they would say they found the check. It blows my mind, take the check, cross a box off that I paid, what is so complicated about that. Other tenants in our building have the same problem. Also note, I've never missed a payment with any company at any point in my life. So to have deal with these people constantly should be completely unnecessary for me. Absolutely horrible.

  Our firm is a tenant in a kidder mathews property. Poor maintenance. Bad HVAC. Indifferent management. Our property manager had never seen to our property. Homeless people sleeping in the parking garage. Bums smoking weed in the parking garage. They say class A office space biut it's not. Look elsewhere.
