Addicted by Michelle1This branch is doing fraudulent transactions on your behalf… do not I repeat do not come here to do business. Thank god I called the 1-800 number after my terrible experience at the window with who I thought was a teller but later found out was the manager of the branch. If you don’t want overdraft fees and unknown checks deposited into your account or into accounts you didn’t authorize do not go to key bank in maple.

Ƙղօա Ҍօժíí1Do not visit this branch NEVER come here and allow them to handle any cash withdrawals!!! They did a inside job on my account the same day of visit 9/14/21… they saw me coming. The next day 9/15/21 I checked my account it was $-11,600 overdrawn! Called the Independence/Rockside branch the consultant said a counterfeit check was dated 8/31/21 and signed by someone name Theresa and cashed on the same day of my initial visit 9/14/21. They asked if I knew a Theresa “NO” I said. Someone got a hold of your account number and did this. Sounds like an investigation for an inside job because it slipped past security and didn’t show up as a cashed check withdrawal on the account. Beware of this branch people you’re money and account is not safe with this branch!!!
Response from the ownerHi, we want to help turn that experience around for you. Please email us at [email protected] with your full name, zip code & phone number. To protect your privacy, refrain from including any account numbers. Please reference case #65661 & we'll send this over to our escalation team. They'll be in touch within 2-3 business days. Thanks so much. ^PR

TJ Jaskolka5Because of Mike T, we switched our personal and business accounts to key. First and foremost he is a great listener and very polite. He took his time to educate us on the benefits of switching and also the ease of banking at key. I would highly recommend seeking Mike T out to have a life changing banking experience. Mike introduced me to John H, the merchant guy. John was able to save our business so much money and our guests love the new equipment and how easy it is to use!
Response from the ownerThanks for the great review, TJ! We're happy to hear about your experience and we'll be sure to pass that on. ^ JJ

Sandhill Land Services1Would not cash a check without verifying with the writer by phone that they did in fact write the check. Took over an hour to get it resolved, only to find out that it was NOT bank policy, but branch policy. I'll never get that hour back, and never even got an apology for wasting it. Branch Manager was definitely promoted above his competency. Will never, ever do business with this bank again.

HenryJohnsonCenter1I tried for about 2 years to patronize this KeyBank. My time was simply too valuable. Even when they only have 2 or 3 other customers, it takes about 30 minutes to get any service. Normally, the lines are really long which means it takes about an hour. I tried switching branches but they're all slow, especially this one. I don't wait nearly as long at my current bank.
Response from the ownerHi there, we are sorry to hear the wait times made you decide to turn around and leave Key. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to pass these comments on. ^PG

Wally G.1In my opinion this branch is not the branch to visit on snowy/icy days. I went to this bank around 9:20am, bank opens at 9am, and slipped on the banks sidewalk not far from the door because they couldn't be bothered with icing it. Ended up with a concussion and a few weeks later a letter from their insurers absolving themselves of any wrong doing. So moral of the story in my opinion is that if you're old, have bad bones, or don't need a concussion or other injury- you should stay away from this place during the winter, even if it doesn't look that bad outside. Because at the end of the day they can't be bothered with making sure their property is salted properly, or that their third party vendor salts the property properly.
Response from the ownerGood Morning Wally, what you have described is not the type of experience we want our clients to have. We would like to look into what happened for you. Please send us an email with your phone number, full name and billing ZIP code to [email protected] to get in touch. We will call to get details. Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you.^CH

Liyah Stanford2I walk into this bank to exchange money into bigger bills the first transaction went good, but they gave me old bills so i went back in with same amount to get exchange into bigger bills again and the other bank teller tell me she cannot do it because i dont have an account with then but they just did it two minutes ago. She said oh she's new, and maybe you should try your own bank.... The bank teller didnt have to say all that..
Response from the ownerLiyah, We appreciate the feedback. That is not the type of service we’d expect to hear about. I’ll pass this along to the appropriate management on your behalf. Kim Tyler1Very little follow up with calls not being returned in a timely manner. The bank manager is not informed on basic underwriting policy and he passed on incomplete information to my husband. We wasted 3 valuable months of our time and potential future income. We were applying for two loans. One home equity and one through a county program (HELP LOAN). When the equity loan fell thru so did the low interest county loan. Even though the county specialist (HELP LOAN) person I spoke with considered our property well within their criteria for loan usage when turning a storefront/residential building into a residential unit because half of the building is already being used as residential, the Key Bank underwriters said the bottom unit had to also be a full apartment to get the funding. A full apartment is upstairs and inhabited. This building (home) was formerly a two family house. We were told that the underwriters would not approve funding to basically put up 4 walls to recreate what was formerly two bedrooms and we had to have a full kitchen restored to the downstairs unit before we could get the equity loan. My husband owns this property free and clear. One of the reasons he needed the funding in the first place was to restore the 1st floor unit to its original residential status so we could rent it out. Essentially, we were told in order to get loan approval we have to use our own money to turn the "showroom" back into the two bedrooms and kitchen it originally was. The 1st floor unit already has a full bathroom with tub and shower. He specifically asked about commercial home equity loans and was assured they were given at this bank for this purpose by the bank manager. This was the reason we stopped proceedings to get our property switched back to residential. He had previously run into a problem getting a line of equity with other lenders because of the buildings commercial status. We waited patiently for 3 months to get approval. Finally, an underwriter came and he thought this was part of the final approval process. Then 2 weeks later he was denied because he was not informed of very important specifics by the bank manager ie: (to use a commercially listed building in an equity loan it has to have a completed residential unit already, which "technically it does have upstairs") If he had known this info in the beginning, he would not have moved forward in the loan process and explored our other options further. The branch manager said he "did not know" about this policy in underwriting. This was the excuse and apology we received. In 3 months time, he could have remedied this issue with his original plan of turning the building to a residential county listing and then been approved for the updates needed to convert the downstairs without using his own money. When he asked for appraisal info used by underwriters, no information was available nor was the name of the appraiser listed in our records. He needed to know how the building had been described by the appraiser. The appraiser had not left his card nor sent us his report. We hit a dead end and the bank manager told us to go to another bank. He said "KeyBank cannot help you". WOW! He was also uninformed about the loan's purpose and gave him a variety of reasons which were not valid based on our original loan request ie: debt ratio and credit card payoffs. Part of the equity loan was to be used for this purpose to "remedy" the debt ratio issue as originally discussed when the paperwork was initiated. The credit cards were to be paid off in order to get the loan. A lot of double talk and "dumb me down" lingo was used to excuse the bank's mistake. Overall, he was very dissatisfied with the whole process. The head needs to know what the tail is doing in all businesses and organizations!
Response from the ownerHello Kim: This is not the type of service we strive to provide out clients. I do apologize for any misinformation you may have been given and thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I have forwarded this information to the Branch Experience Team for review. ^KeyBank Customer Care

Denisha Renee'1Very very slow, lines are always backed up.
Response from the ownerHello Denisha, we understand that having to wait in line can be frustrating. Have you considered using our 24/7 mobile and ATM banking options instead? You can even remotely deposit a check from the comfort of your own home. No need to wait in line at all! Hope this helps. Thank you.^CH

Bernard Styles1For those in Cleveland who know the real deal when it comes to customer satisfaction know that a rival bank to Key called National city bank and they were HORRIBLE all the way until PNC bought them out. Well the whole key bank corporation is now the MOST HORRIBLE bank in all of Ohio. They MISTANKLY signed me up for some rewards program that I never approved of and have STOLEN $30 a year for the past 5 years. I have talk long distance from the south and west to the branch manager name Jason. He is a lying, worthless, cold heart, con artist bastard that DOESN'T give a damn about any of the customers who bank their with their hard earn money. I company yes boy who's nothing but puppet! This bank was once KNOW as Society bank and they forgotten where they came from! THE WHOLE KEY BANK FAMILY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS WHO ARE NO BETTER THAN ALL THE INMATES DOWN IN LUCASVILLE, OHIO!!! In 2016 when I was in town I stop at the key branch on Miles Rd in Solon and brought this to the attention of branch manager name Lovelady or something, she said not worry she would handle it .Well she LIED TOO! The customer service is rude and liers, the branches are rude and liers , head key Corp are pure thieves and liers too! A old fashion piggy bank is a thousand times SAFER THAN ANY KEY BANK EMPLOYEE. Don't bank here with these convicts. Another note i would like to add is, KEY BANK bought the naming rights to the arena in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. home of the NHL Buffalo Sabres and the Sabers had the worst record in the whole league and a season like the Brown's. Until the key bank name come of the building it will be a losing arena like the key corporation!!!
