William Cudahy1Save yourself the time, money, and hassle and stay as far away from this bank as possible. This used to be one of the best banks in Colorado but to my astonishment they have become not only inept but they also are addicted to fees and will always look to take as much $ from you as possible. I have been with this bank since 2016, and was given a “Privilege Account” which means I get certain advantages, but I do not remember being explained what the advantages were as I was young and just looking for A safe place to keep my money. Well in 2017 I made the decision to quit my job and enter treatment for Substance abuse and mental health bc admittedly I had a problem and needed to clean up my act. So I dedicated 8 months to treatment and came out and have been sober since Nov 2017. I immediately picked up another job and was back working full time. Fast forward to May 2021, I have a fraud alert so my card is canceled. I visit my local branch for the first time in years to withdrawal $ to cover until my new card arrives. I was having a nice friendly chat with the teller and she informed me that I wasn't receiving the benefits of my account and was being charge maintenance fees as well as not receiving over draft protection that I was entitled Even though I met the requirements of not having such fees. So they direct me to a banker and within 5 minutes he discovers the problem and explains they was an internal coding error which he the. “Fixed” as well as refunded me the past 2 months of fees and one overdraft which is all he could do, but told Me I had to see a Branch manager about the 40+ months that I was charged $25 a month, As well as the fees charged for overdrafts during that period, a sum which totaled almost $1200!!! So I visited a Branch manager and he was great and looked into it and found again that there was still a coding error but they had fixed it. But then he instructed me that he could not help with the 40+ months of fees bc I didn’t not open the account at that location and had to go back to the original branch, who of course did not have a branch manager at that time. So I was then directed to another manager who was “covering” and was told that this matter was being looked into and they would get back to me. So in the meantime I went through every statement and found that I reached the requirements and highlighted those requirements as well as the overdraft fees that I received from my Online Banking just to make sure that I was in fact correct. I also scanned and sent in a series of these statements, and was told 4 weeks in a row that someone would reach out and the matter was escalated. I did not receive one call back until I finally receive a call last Friday saying they are putting $300 in my account while they were still looking into the matter, and then I saw one more deposit of $300 and was happy thinking they had finally come to their senses and were making things right. But, two days ago I open my mobile app and see that $300 was taken back out of my account with no heads up or understanding, so I called the bank again and found out they were never going to give me more than $300 ever and that missing $300 was them taking back the $300 because they made a mistake and gave me too much, which is so incredibly ironic because they are that quick to recover money they mistakenly paid out, but they of course were more than happy to take my $ for 40+ months because of their mistake but only we’re only ever going to reconcile my account with a years worth of fees being returned. So I’m done with this once loved bank and encourage anyone whose had similar awful experiences to advocate for themselves if they believe they have been unfair treated and looks into file a claim with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which is a government agency that protect consumers from mistreatment and in fair acts by any Financial Institution you trust with your hard earned money because in my experience it’s rather clear that Key Bank is out for themselves and no their clients.

Michelle Garcia1I have never had a worse experience with a bank. I have been trying to close my account since November with no luck. It is amazing the fees that suddenly appear to make my account, which is at $0 for closing purposes, negative! I continue to owe Key money in fees because they refuse to close my account in a timely and efficient manner. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau today because I don't know what else to do. Has anyone else had an experience with Key where they refuse to close a zeroed out account but continue to assess fees?
Response from the ownerHi Michelle - we certainly don't want that to be how you feel and not the experience we want you to have. If you send us a message to [email protected] with your full name and phone number we would be happy to look into it. Please also include case # 24273. ^ JJ

Steph Rosvall1The KEY to horrible banking stems from this place. Worst Bank on so many levels of dissatisfaction. If I ever find a branch that's open I am making sure my accounts are closed this time. KEY BANK CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
Response from the ownerSteph, sorry you feel that way. What happened? Email us at [email protected] with additional information, and #64882 including your full account name with a contact phone number and zip code. Thank you. ^JL

Lori Belloir1I arrived at this location at 8:59am. They refused me by blankly saying “we’re not open yet” Really? You know people have to constantly take time off if they have to do bank business, you can’t just be kind and say “Give us one minute to finish opening up and we’ll be right with you!” I have never had more frequent issues with a bank. Their ridiculous policies (refusing perfectly valid deposits, for example) are one thing, but poor customer service is another. I have certainly had wonderful tellers with this company but by and large my experience has been negative, time-comsuming, costly, and frustrating. I will be switching soon.
Response from the ownerHi Lori, this isn't the experience we strive to deliver, and are sorry we missed our mark. We appreciate serving you. Your feedback is important to us, and we hope you will choose to stay with Key. Please email us at [email protected] if there is anything we can assist you with ^PG

Starr LaCrue2I love my bank at the same time it's always slow. They never have enough tellers. They leave you waiting at the drive through until all the customers inside are helped. The Russian male is always rude and tells you to come inside he can't help you. Why have a drive up if you can't work it??? It's a joke coming to this key bank.
Response from the ownerStarr: Thanks for providing feedback on this branch. I will forward this to the manager so they are aware. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns, we're happy to help. ^KeyBank Customer Care

Nathan Roberts1Keybank charges fees for everything! I setup an account promising a reward and it literally took 3 months of phone calls and E-mail to receive the deposit in my account. The staff here are not competent and I would not recommend Keybank, or especially this branch to anyone! This is the worst bank I have dealt with EVER!!!
Response from the ownerNathan, We’re sorry to hear about your negative experience. Was there anything I can help with? Please send any details about your issue or if you’d like to just provide feedback we’d appreciate that also at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you. -KeyBank Customer Care

Sara Karam5I disagree with the bad service comments. I have used this bank for my personal and business banking and they have always been super nice. Yes, there may be a line but they are usually very fast and apologize for making you wait the one or two minutes it takes to help the client before you. Nice staff and very helpful.

Alex Sadler1My problem with Key, other than the one's already made that I agree with, is they hold checks for 10 days, even though it is common knowledge that in this electronic world they actually clear in two days at the most. Checks for any amount from anywhere clear the same way. Holding them this long is a Key decision that is not required by any law or regulation. They will be the next Wells Fargo if anyone pays attention.
Response from the ownerHi Alex: I understand your concern regarding deposit holds. Hold time on checks may vary, depending on several factors. Please review our Funds Availably Policy at this link. https://www.key.com/about/meetkey/about-key/disclosures.jsp or stop by your local branch. Thank you. ^KeyBank Customer Care
