  If you are looking for a trustworthy lender who will get you the best interest rate AND the lowest closing costs, Ken Venick is your man. We have purchased 6 homes in 4 different states over the past 30 years. We are no strangers to the home buying process and are very knowledgable about comparing closing costs and interest rates. Ken consistently had the best rate and terms over a 2 year period. We purchased a home in May of 2019 in Annapolis after looking for over 2 years for a home. Ken stuck with us the entire time. He was very patient as we made offer after offer in a highly competitive housing market. Two homes we lost in multiples, two homes we could not come to terms on. Two homes fell through due to poor inspections. Ken continued to send pre-approval letter after pre-approval letter each time we made an offer. I always requested a letter from Ken and 1-2 other lenders. Ken's letter always got to our Realtor first. He does not pad his costs! I went through each cost on his cost estimate and asked Ken to explain each one. I compared those costs to other lenders and he was always lower. His response time is 2nd to none. Whether I called, emailed or texted, he responded - sometime immediately but always within a reasonable and satisfactory time period. Most importantly, I trusted Ken. He did everything he said he would do throughout the 2 years. His escrow team is also excellent. The loan process went smoothly and we closed on time. I cannot say enough good about Ken. He stuck by us through the 2+ years we searched for a home in Maryland, even though I'm sure he doubted sometimes if we would ever buy a home. I look for honesty, professionalism and knowledge from a loan professional and I received all 3 of those and more with Ken Venick.
