  Getting a loan with the Mazzo group was a smooth process. They have a very simple, efficient and secure system to upload all the required documentation. There are different people involved through out the process and all of them were there to answer our questions in a very professional way. I would absolutely recommend the Mazzo Group.

  I have recently taken home loan with Mazzogroup (with Peoples Home Equity) in the month of June 2018. I am quite satisfied and pleased with the home lending services provided by Mazzo Group. I would specifically like to mention Jenieve and Aaron, who have coordinated with me throughout the home loan process. They have always behaved professionally and responded to my queries promptly. Mr. Mazzo himself called me several times to ensure that I am satisfied with the services and the home loan offerings. The application processing time and approval time with underwriters were quite reasonable. Overall I am very satisfied with the team and services received from People Home Equity.

  I have applied for mortgage through big banks in the past and was frustrated by the convoluted and time-consuming process. I thought that was normal until I worked with the Mazzo Group. This team is extremely disciplined, effective and speedy. They even spoke with the listing agent directly to boost their confidence in my offer, which ultimately helped me win a bid without being the top bidder. During the escrow, they sent me regular updates and let me know exactly where I was in the process. We closed the escrow in such a short time that even the listing agent was impressed. I would not hesitate to recommend this team to all my friends.

  Worked with JJ and his team to purchase my home. Now it's time to do the refi and not such a great experience. When I was buying my home, I was charged an arm and a leg but I was new to this process and decided to move forward. During this time JJ agreed to do a refi at no costs. At first JJ and his team were super responsive and then I kindly reminded them of the waiver on refi fees and all of a sudden crickets....Moreover, their level of effort was nonexistent. I had to do my own research to see what the best deal was. Then I had to provide this information to their team and they said oh yes actually you can do that (keep in mind I am a rookie). Long story short, will not work with JJ and team again and do not recommend.

  The Mazzo Group literally saved us from losing our dream house - thank you, Mazzo Group!!!! :) Our realtor (Patrick Hourigan, who is amazing) helped us beat out 2 offers to win the house, but our lender (my parent's lender from LA county) was slow, unresponsive, and also made a giant calculation error when she calculated our loan amount. We had to bring in my father to co-sign, but even then that lender and her company could not give us the loan amount we needed. At the 11th hour (the 19th day of a 45 day escrow), we kicked out the other lender and brought The Mazzo Group in and WOW, not only did they deliver, they even helped us close 2 DAYS EARLY! The whole team was professional, polite and knowledgeable. We worked with Aaron Hardin who was very efficient and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone!

  JJ, Jenieve, & the rest of the team were incredibly helpful, responsive (even on weekends), & easy to work with throughout the home buying process. We were first time home buyers in need of a lender who would allow us to purchase a home above the conventional loan limit with only 10% down. JJ was able to offer us a loan that worked for us with very little in closing costs. They were also extremely fast with the closing process. This team is competent, efficient, & highly recommended.

  This is the second time I've worked with JJ and his team and it certainly won't be the last. On the first occasion they closed on my new place in just 9 days! This time it was to refinance my existing loan; and Aaron was there to advise me on rates versus closing costs, with an eye to refinancing again when rates drop again as expected. I trust these guys to always do whatever is in my best interests. They are not just looking to close a deal but to keep you as a client going forward.
