  James is a phenomenal mortgage officer that really knows the business inside and out. He understands what really needs to happen in order to close a deal, and while his business acumen and expertise are built of professionalism, he is also so personable and cordial that it makes the mortgage approval process as seamless and streamlined as possible. We were very lucky to sync up with James when looking for our last mortgage - we got a very competitive rate in line with the market - and will certainly be calling him when the time comes to purchase another property or refinance. Further, his team is also highly experienced and professional and were there to help move the process along and ensure that everything got in place at the right time.   This is my second time working with James and a second time of a great experience. James is incredible with customer service. He is very knowledgeable and organized. He keeps me informed at every step of the process and made the process flow so easy and smooth without any worries or delays. I always know my application's status at any given time, and I never need to be repeatedly asking because the information is giving on time at every step.   Five Star Service and Experience! I wasn't sure where to start looking for a broker and found myself looking at reviews on google. I was skeptical of what I might find and if the reviews were inflated or if there was any validity to them. I stumbled across James A Thom - Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. The reviews seemed too good to be true and so I elected to reach out and spoke to James, in an effort to get a general feel for how he conducted business. During our initial conversation, the first impression of him was how calm and personable he was. In other words, he was not in a hurry to have me sign loan documents. He was articulate as he explained the process and conveyed, he would be upfront and tell me if the loan was in my best interest or not. I felt his sincerity and integrity through the phone and knew I wanted to work with him. I started the loan process and over the course of the next few weeks, James was there to talk me through every step, the different options, and answer my many questions. He always returned my calls or text messages in a timely manner. I never felt in the dark. As an added plus you also get to work with his efficient team. I worked in the customer service field for 26 years and know the importance of the relationship between you and your clients. James and his team are an elite class of professionals!! I won't use anyone but him in the future. I will also be referring him to my family and friends. Because I was led to James via several reviews, it only felt right for me to also leave a review.   James and his team went above and beyond throughout our whole home buying process. We ended up putting an offer on a home before we had started the pre-committment application process, and his team scrambled to get it done on time so we could submit that with the offer. Once we got the home, they were on top of the whole process, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They were extremely responsive, kind, and helpful. Would absolutely recommend!
