  I have been living here at IoM for about 6 months and we are very happy here! Of course, it’s apartment life, but everyone is very friendly - and so are the fur babies! And the concierge desk is the best! Marcus is so friendly and he even grabs my packages as soon as he sees me walk in the front door. He’s a rock star! Also, one morning when I went to walk my dog in my PJs, I forgot my keys and Tayanna was kind enough to let me in to my apartment. She is always a friendly face when I am heading out the door in the morning.

  I love living at Insignia on M. This is the best location and perfect size building. Not too big but not too small either for great amenities. I just renewed my lease. Looking forward to another year in the Navy Yard.

  My husband and I have loved here for nearly 3 years, and we couldn’t be happier. It is so nice to come home and be greeted by the folks at the front desk - in particular, Marcus Ewell! He has the best attitude and is always smiling.

  I've lived at Insignia on M for more than a year, and it's a great community. The leasing and building staff have always been kind, professional and attentive. And, the Bozzuto team does an excellent job proactively sharing information with residents for things like building updates, social activities, neighborhood news and other information. Highly recommend joining the community.

  Insignia on M’s concierge is outstanding; specifically, Marcus Ewell! He always greets us with a smile and seemingly never has a bad day! He’s two steps ahead of our needs and always willing to help solve a problem. Marcus truly has made our experience here exceptional (esp during a pandemic)!

  I can't believe I am saying this, especially with how much I despise corporate landlord companies.... I love it here. 1. Best management, very attentive, respond to emails promptly, and treat tenants like people and not like problems. I absolutely think that the management and front office team is the reason to stay here. 2. I have not had any experience with shady schemes/money making schemes from the management team here. 3. Unfortunately, because of the Covid situation, some people on my floor have decided to party constantly and just smoke our floor up. Management has been so attentive to our situation and allowed me to transfer- mid lease- to a different floor (and bigger space) while waiving any associated transfer fees. 4. They always have adorable tenant appreciation events. 5. Beyond my awful neighbors, everyone else is very nice and warm. We have adorable kids in bathing suits riding the elevator up to the pool, a good mix of families and ages in the building, DOGS, and the amenities are great. The elevator doesn't look run down, smells great, the cleaning staff are the best (always chat with us). I haven't had any maintenance issues but the maintenance team must also be good. 6. Rooms: When you apply, pay attention to the layout and room numbers. For rooms that are even, you will face outward. For rooms that are odd, you will face inward. Y'all are lucky if you face outward- you get a nice view. For inward facing people, that is where you see some negative complaints. It comes with the package of living in a large city. Buildings are everywhere. Noises are everywhere. But I recommend you ask for the specific location and look from the outside to see if you are close to the alleyway or not. Pick a space that is higher up (less noise, more sun). If you are closer to the ground, you will hear the garbage trucks echoing. However, I have found a simple fix- either get a fountain and put it on your balcony outside to muffle the noise or just run a fan inside. White noise does help to cancel it out. I don't recommend their box studios that have no balcony. They have some awesome floor layouts with ample storage options- so do pay attention to that. Not all studios are boxes. Nothing breaks down, this is a truly no headache building and unit space. I believe that it is worth the price point for the area. I was thinking of moving to a different building/area because I like to see the sky and have a view, but I realized that I will have a tough time finding the same attentiveness and professionalism with the staff here in another building. Trust me, with covid, you want to have the least amount of headaches with your unit. I once flew in and did not have my key for a full day (long story), so that entire day the staff went up and down the elevator with me as I got my groceries, got food, etc. They're that nice. Lastly, I have never had issues using the elevator. Sure, maybe one is down and we are stuck with two or everyone is using the elevator at the same time... but I would rather have people practice proper social distancing than to pack into elevators like normal. Highly recommend. 100%.

  I am considering a move back to D.C. and had heard positive things about this property. I decided to stop in to check things out and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Many things stood out about this property but most of all was the warm and welcoming front desk concierge , Marcus. Marcus greeted me with a smile and answered all of my questions. He even gave me a short tour of the amenities and provided insights about the neighborhood. I really left feeling like this was a place where I could feel at home. Thanks Marcus!

  I have lived at Insignia on M for almost a year now. The management company is so attentive, helpful, and cares for their residents so much!! Having all the amenities right at your finger tips is one of my favorite things about Insignia on M. The rooftop pool with the grills makes for a perfect summer night! You are walking distance to grocery stores and plenty of bars/restaurants. Highly recommend living here!!

  I've lived here for 8 months and really enjoy it so far. The space and amenities are great. The staff is awesome, especially Tyanna who is always there to greet you when you walk in or help if you need anything.
