  I had been looking to purchase a home in the Catskill region of New York and as we know it’s a stressful process. Especially these days. My agent had recommended using Kristen Brooke at Homestead Funding Corp. as my loan originator. I could not of been happier to be working with such a professional like Kristen. She put my mind at ease and was so nice to work with. Any questions I had even what seemed to be dumb ones lol Kristen answered them thoroughly and thoughtfully.   If you are looking for a new home and find yourself struggling to score the "ideal" lender, look no further than Homestead Funding Corp! Through my many months of trying to work with other lenders, viewing an unbearable amount of houses, trying my best to determine my "dream home," I still continuously had questions about the mortgage process. Other lenders try to push you into places you would rather not live, some try to tell you you've found the perfect spot, every time you send in an offer. Homestead strives to do the opposite. I worked with Kristen Brooke at Homestead and she was an absolute pleasure. Her bubbly and bright personality made the daunting days ahead seem optimistic, exciting, and even enticing. I found several homes while working alongside her, and she always gave her all in how exceptional she believed a property to be. Although I threw many offers out, she always managed to breakdown the costs in a simple manner that I found understandable and concise. Her true kindness was exemplified when I found my new home. I lucked out in many ways, but when I sent her the property, she beamed and called me and immediately said, "This. This is you. You need to see this. I lived near here and I know this home. Once you see it, call me or message me, I want to know your feelings!" And she was right. It was adorable, cozy, big enough for me and my significant other. The yard was impeccable! I finally have closed on the property and I can't wait to start moving in and making the changes to call it "Our Home". I will say that Homestead does service your loan - meaning they sell it to another bank/mortgage company; however, they strive to keep you posted and will always be there to help with any and all questions that may arise even after closing. I am assured that working with Kristen, any and all questions I may have about the servicing will be answered hastily and fully. Servicing can sometimes work in your favor, but most of the time creates nothing but a change in where the payments go; Homestead will ALWAYS be a contact for you, that will never change. Homestead Funding knows what they are doing and their costs are unbeatable, but Kristen knows it all better. I adored working with her and I hope many more find her exciting personality in their journey looking for a new home.
