  John was such an amazing realtor! His communication, and listening skills are unmatched. He educated me a lot on my first home purchase and made sure everything I was signing and looking over I understood. When looking at homes, he listened to every detail I was looking for in a home, and never pushed something on me I did not want. If you have any young kids looking to purchase a home John is the way to go!

  John helped us find our first home in 07 and when it came time to start a new chapter in our lives, he helped us sell our home and find our new home in the country (in late 2020). John went above and beyond to help us find the perfect home, including weeks of patiently driving all over West Michigan to show us houses. He's very friendly and easy to get along with. John has a lot of integrity and he put all of his knowledge and experience to work to guide us through preparing our house to sell, selling, and buying. He listened to what we wanted in a home, asked questions to help us narrow it down, and advised us on what might be easy or difficult to change about a house to make it exactly what we want.   John Huizenga was highly recommended to me by my brother. I was a very very busy dentist because I worked 8-8 during the week and only had fri to sun to spend time looking for a house. John was perfect for me because he was a great listener and in an organized way sent me houses I would be interested in. There was no time wasted at all. By our second day I found the house that I wanted to buy. John was not just my realtor agent he was also my mortgage broker. John was personable, available, and an expert in his field. In a seller’s market and during Covid, I was able to buy my house low with no appraisal needed, I saved on closing cost, in good time.   My family has worked with John on most of their home buying/selling needs. My husband and I had to move closer to his work and decided to trust our family's recommendation in working with John. John was amazing. We enjoyed that he was a one stop shop when it came to being a realtor and our lendor. What was also amazing is we are from the East side of Michigan. It meant the world to us that he took the time to be there for our house hunting needs. It is a really long drive and we loved that he was committed.   As a first time home buyer, everything was new to me, but John was always available to answer questions and simplified every step of the process. Very prompt and professional to work with. If I move into a new house in the future, I will definitely be going with him again. Edit: After 5 years, my wife and I worked with John again on the sale of our house as well as the purchase of our new home and the financing. The process was seamless and having a single contact took much of the stress away. Even in a competitive market, we were able to find a house that we loved. I couldn’t recommend his services enough.

  John has been a rock for us with our home-buying process. We met him as our landlord after we moved to the Grand Rapids area, and he has been an amazing connection to have. Not only was he a fantastic landlord, he is also a smart and attentive realtor/mortgage broker. Doing both the realty and mortgage process really cut down on the middle-manning we had to do as purchasers, and because it is all under one roof, John was able to answer any questions we had about every single part of the home-buying process.
