Al Dona1North Port, FL - I made a big mistake by choosing Holiday Builders as my builder. There are no words to describe how disappointed and angry I am. We are now at month 17 and house is still not done. They don't even know when would be finish! This is ridiculous! Originally, I was told that it will take no longer than 10 months. They are blaming COVID and shortage of materials however, that's not really the case. They submitted permits 4 months after I signed the contract instead right away. How come other builders are building faster. Nobody contacted me for months to let me know that they are experiencing delays. Looks like they are taking too many projects and can't keep up. City inspections are failed multiple times on one project. There are 12 failed inspections total on my house so far and we are only half-way through. I am worrying about the quality of the house at this point. They seem very unorganized. This whole building proces is a nightmare! I am fed up with their excuses after excuses. The only good thing I can say is that Project Manager and Seller are contacting me on regular basis with the update. Each time I called Corporate Office my phone was returned in timely manner. I will update my review as time progress.
Response from the ownerWe surely understand and share in your frustration in the length of time to build your home. Material delays and labor shortages (including staffing shortages for inspections) have negatively affected build cycle time for all homebuilders. We have adjusted accordingly, waiting to start homes until all materials are in place and holding back new home sales while we complete homes in our pipeline. Since you have left this review, we've researched your build, and have spoken with you and provided the most up-to-date information we have. We are pleased to be moving forward and appreciate your acknowledging that our team is in regular contact with you. The completion of your quality-built home is our top priority and we appreciate your choosing Holiday Builders.

April Person1Holiday Builder‘s My agent is Kathy, we’re down here in Cape Coral Florida this by far has been the worst buying process ever! Kathy never correspond with us and inform us on anything we always have to call her and we’re always getting the same response we have no idea when your home will get built there’s no date of start nor finish, But what seems to be quite crazy is this was a spec home so regardless if we buy it or not the home was to be build regardless so I’m just not understanding!!! What all the run around is for. This house was supposed to be built December 2021 and we’re still waiting. I I would love to speak with someone that could give me information about when our house will be started because this is truly unacceptable my married name is April Rivera
Response from the ownerMs. Rivera: Thank you for sharing your concerns. We will inform our management team and ask someone to call you.

Ken Langevin3Hello Everyone, I am starting a review that I plan on updating as we go along. My Wife and I signed our contract on August 1st of 2021. At the start we were told 12-15 months. Which was fine. Sign a new lease at our new place and keep going. We have had to reach out to sales to get updates on everything with not much ever being known. Had to do my own research to see that permits have been approved as of February 1st. These permits had been rejected 3 times from the City as well, delaying things even more. As a builder they should have known the codes that where rejected as well. We currently do not have any time line on a move forward plan. This is disheartening as everyone knows interest rates keep climbing. At this point I know things are delayed but would really like a time line on our beautiful home being built. On another note, one right next door to ours with the same permitting time has broken ground and already started to build. Update: I have started receiving regular updates as well as a potential start date for building our dream home. We are still very excited and happy to see quick response from multiple people on the Holiday Builders team!!
Response from the ownerMr. Langevin: Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding your build. Since leaving this review, our team has reached out to you. We appreciate that you are planning to update the review as we progress. We look forward to the opportunity of improving our communication, and completing and delivering your new home to you and your wife. We appreciate your choosing Holiday Builders. Mr. Langevin: Thank you for the updated review. We appreciate your update and are so pleased things are progressing well!

Cheryllynn Mello3I had the Kings Bay built and love the house, but I have had interior doors sitting in my spare room for months waiting for someone to install them, The only reason they are in the house is because the originals warped with the heat, so to save them and not cost the company any more money I put them in the house. I had the floor people come and fix some planks that were damaged and they made them worse, shutters are falling off my house. Just to get anyone out here to fix them is a project. I understand COVID-19 hit, but people are starting to go back into work and still no one is reaching out to me. I am frustrated. The one thing that sticks in my head was the day that the door guy Charlie told me he was extremely busy and had 18 other houses to do, and I would have to wait, and he never showed up. My husband took the day off from work. Every time I call about having these things done, I'm told that someone will get in touch with me to have these things fixed. I also have a laundry room window where the pain is crooked and was told oh the window people wont fix that. If someone from Holiday could please reach out to me so that I can get these things fixed. My house is only 5 month old I shouldn't have these problems lingering like this.

Mathias2We built a house last year-ish, and is by far some of the worst quality we have seen. During construction we were told to "Not worry" about milestones bit being hit and have had issues ever since. Once you sign those documents, they walk away and make it difficult to get problems resolved. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, because if you do ever have to go to court you'll need proof. The contractors they use are barely qualified, if any and they hide defects with even worse bandaids. My recommendation if you use them, stay on top (Visit your house during each phase) and don't go by word of mouth.
Response from the ownerWe are sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with your new home. Third-party inspections are required at milestones throughout the construction process before a CO is issued. Your home warranty is good for two years after closing. If there are issues you feel have not been properly addressed, please send us a text at 855-912-1392 so we may follow up with you. Thank you.

Dawn Girl1This company took advantage of my elderly mother. She lived in another state at the time that her home was being built. They did not take the time to make sure that the lot that the house was being built on was level before the house was built there. Now her backyard is comparable to a swamp every time it rains hard in Florida. They neglected to put any handles on any of the interior cabinets in her house. The driveway had an unapproved design glaze put on it and the dirt collects in all of the crevices and has to be pressure washed to remove it. The interior of the house was painted with inferior paint and she had to hire another contractor to come in and paint the entire interior of the house again. This builder will do anything to save a buck if you are not present when your house is being built or immediately after it is finished. They state that they only use employees to build their houses when you visit their showrooms. Yet, when I showed up when my mother was in another state, no one spoke english in the crew that was present at her new home's location.. Buyer beware, do your homework and shop around for other builders. This company is comparable to a used automobile dealership. You don't get what you pay for!
Response from the ownerWe would like to discuss the concerns you have raised in this review at your earliest convenience and urge you to contact our corporate office at 321-610-5180. Regarding the lot being level, please understand that grading and drainage on all lots is inspected and approved by local municipalities. Unfortunately we have no way of reaching you, or your mother, nor are we able to identify the location of the home without additional information. We look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.

Milly B1I'm a Realtor in the Pensacola area. My buyers are purchasing a home in Gulf Breeze. The experience for them has been horrible. The local team here does not seem to care about the quality of the house they are presenting, or the timing of their actions. We keep getting told they are "owner employees". That should be motivation, but apparently not. There are large cracks in the garage concrete that we've been told "nothing can be done". Haven't even offered to fill them in. Broken tiles, slanted flooring, it appears the painter just took off the blue tape from the punch list without actually painting. There are trees laying up against the house that have been there since Sept. 16. The list goes on. Closing in 2 hours and house hasn't even been cleaned yet! Holiday brags about a 2 year warranty - but if you can't get punch list items complete I don't have much hope for their warranty being reliable.
