  Great place to watch meteor showers or any type of star gazing. A bit away from any resources or valley views but still serene and breathtaking. Area has abundant wildlife. Trails are flat and non-crowded in area. Good for hikers and non-hikers that just want to get away from the large valley crowds.

  This campground has some terrible camp sites. It does have some beautiful areas around and Hetch Hetchy is close by car, but my campsite was at a slope that I didn’t enjoyed my stay.

  I don't typically review things online. This campground is pretty abysmal. I live in Montana, and suspect that most reviewers of hogdgon meadows have very little outdoor experience with which to judge a good campground. If you have ever camped outside a national park in your life, and have any expectation of privacy, be warned,,, We travelled a fairly immense distance to stay here. Our campsite 072 was only accessible by walking through three other campsites. The spaces are incredibly small, far too tightly spaced, and the ground is uneven. It sucks. My ten year old remarked on arrival, "this isn't camping dad" and proceeded to play on his iPad once our shelter was in place. If you are interested in hearing neighbors snore from 6 feet away on three sides and having people routinely march into your campsite out of necessity to leave their own than youay enjoy this campsite. I cannot possibly discourage this enough if you have standards for camping. There is a really cool campground just outside the park over tioga pass next to a lake at over 9k feet that is nearly empty with nice spacious campgrounds. We lost our payment for a second night and drove a couple extra hours for the sole purpose of not sleeping here.

  Stayed one night, absolutely freezing!!! Campground fills up fast. We didn't get a level site, so just stayed in the van. Fair drive from Yosemite valley, but nice sites along the way

  Beware of sites 13 - 21, they are on a pretty large slant. It's difficult to find a level spot for a tent and our table in site 19 could not hold a lantern upright without support due to how angled it was.

  Great campground. Bathroom is as much function as any other outdoor bathroom. No water fountain. Close proximity to other campers.

  Fantastic staff, very knowledgeable in surrounding area. Very clean camp ground. Bathrooms were probably the cleanest camp bathrooms I've ever seen.

  Great spacious campsite. just the people who camped on the campsite next to us, kept on telling us to be quiet when we were trying to sing around the bonfire

  Enjoyed our 4 days here, very quiet at night, we didn't have any issues with any wildlife getting into our stuff. When we come back next year we will stay at the same camp!

  Very basic campsite, no showers, no hookups. We stayed a night. Not as crowded as Yosemite valley, but not much more to say about it.
