Lauren Buffington5Tommie at HistoryMaker is an incredible person to work with. She took the time to meet with multiple clients of mine, make them feel at ease during the build process and care for them throughout. This is a hard time for buyers in this market and Tommie makes the process so much better for them! To actually have a builder rep sit down and talk them through their availability is no small thing! Could not recommend using this builder enough. Many happy clients!

Deniece Richmond5Tommie is amazing she took the time to explain the homebuying process with my husband and I. We are first time home buyers. Anytime I have popped up unannounced she made us feel welcome, she has continued to show excellent customers service. Even when I felt like I was making the wrong floor choice, she pulled out all floors plans and asked us what we really wanted. We bought and choose History Maker because of Tommie.

Kazi Ghayas1There is a hidden cost of PID which is Not mentioned anywhere in the contract. PID will appear Only in the Lenders paper work and it will balloon up to $38,000 thousand dollars in 27 Years. History Maker Homes refused to refund my Earnest money of 2000 Because we canceled the contract due to the extra added PID to the total amount of the house. History Homemaker will nickel and dime everything in the design center and the extra amount will add up to 30,000 Extra minimum without any major upgrades We demand our deposit to be refunded which is still due from them. We want everyone to be informed in advance of this tactic. Understand and do not repeat what we have lost by signing with them.

JD Perry1Think twice and be more patient than I am! Also, their preferred lender, Cardinal financial, is the rudest lender we have ever had by leaps and bounds... This is our fourth home purchase. They bring you in with bright and shiny, and we paid for many upgrades. They finished the house 3 months early, however, there were multiple problems. Paint drips all over our carpet and new tile, paint spots so bad doors won't close, drywall floating so bad you can see the seams indoors, paint footprints on porch and indoors, wrong appliances not the ones we paid for, paid for upgraded cabinets they are full of scratches and dings, tiles uneven, holes and scratches in the walls, entire boards of peeled paint outside, cabinets literally falling off the wall, crack in marble counter top, unsecured boards under carpet.... The list goes on and on.... When we closed, the preferred lender forced us to close early saying we would lose our rate and have to reapply if we didn't close now. He drew up a loan doc saying history homemakers were still responsible to make all the repairs on our prewalk checklist. That was nearly four months ago, and the repairs still have not been done. Lender and history homemakers are still giving me the run-around.

Avery Kuncaitis5Mark Hartwell is such a great person to deal with. He answers questions promptly and will go not only the extra mile but the extra hundred miles to help you. We are so happy we picked History Maker and got to meet Mark.
