Howard Rodrigues1My ATM CARD DIDN'T WORK. WENT INSIDE FRIDAY 28 JANUARY, TELLER SAYS 2015 WAS THE LAST TIME I USED IT, NOT TRUE. SAYS IT OK NOW. TRIED IT SUNDAY, DIDN'T WORK. DROPPED IN DEPOSIT BOX. I NEED A NEW CARD. NO ONE ANSWERED PHONE CALL. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

hawaiianbudd2Fast and friendly tellers. The company also keeps you informed via mailed flyers and invites to yearly company updates. Terrible, slow service from the loan department. My loan officer Peter was power tripping over my real estate agent and dragging his feet, causing me to lose the property I was bidding on. (Despite my great credit, fully employed, having all the information I needed current, having the highest bid, and constant email contact) The moment I switched to a new loan company, I was able to buy a property immediately. While this is a nice bank to have my checking account with, go elsewhere for assistance for your loan needs. As a new home buyer, I didn't know how easy it would be until I found another lending company.

Felix & The Beast1In these dark times, being lied to about a deposited check can prove very challenging for any normal person going through financial ruin. I normally go to the Kaloko branch since it’s the location I opened my Buisness account even if it’s 15+ miles further than the location in town. Today I was pressed for time. Had a difficult time depositing a Check from my mortgage bank into my account, polite young lady went to talk to a supervisor named started with L. When I was about to leave Supervisor comes up to explain her decision. I properly explained how I Bank at the Kaloko location. She then said there will be “NO HOLD”on the check if it’s CO-OP shared branch. My slip given showed the full amount deposited. I get home to find out she held $410 dollar on a HOLD after clearly saying it wouldn’t be and the slip given stating something completely different, Very unprofessional and unacceptable! I very much dislike the Kona Branch after this unjust incident.
Response from the ownerAloha, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re very sorry your recent experience at the branch didn’t meet your expectations for service. We’re committed to making sure all of our members receive clear explanations when they conduct a transaction, and surprises like these can cause unnecessary headaches and frustration. While we look into this, you are welcome to email us at [email protected] with your name, contact information and any other details you believe could help us address this. Thank you again for being a member of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, and we look forward to resolving this for you.

Pat Blades11-23-18 HCFCU in Kona (Hualalai Rd.) closed early? Evidently because of the potential hurricane Lane. What a crock of ....!! Lane was downgraded to cat3, and so far (as of 6:30 PM), no wind and only an occasional drizzle. I found out about the closure only after driving there. The web page claimed they were open. I needed to do some urgent banking, so I called them (call ctr.), and received zero help after being disconnected once, and talked to two employees, and finally a supervisor. All conversations were recorded, and total time it took to exhaust all reason was approximately 50 minutes. They claim they will not be open again until Friday the 25th (maybe). What the H... is one to do who needs to get banking done at the branch!? What detached imbecile was in charge of this faux pas!? I am pissed....really pissed!! No other banks in the vicinity were closed. If you are looking for a banking institution that will be open and/or help you when you need them - then I would go to one of the 'other' banks. Pat b.
Response from the ownerAloha Pat, We take the safety of our members as well as our staff extremely seriously. The decision to close all HCFCU branches at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 22, and to remain closed on Thursday, August 23, was made with all available hurricane information at that time, with the best interest of our members and staff in mind. We were, in fact, one of the last financial institutions to close on Wednesday. Most West Hawaii financial institutions remained closed on Thursday as well. A ‘Hurricane Closure Notice’ was posted on our website clearly stating we were closing at 1 PM on Wednesday and remaining closed on Thursday. We do apologize that you missed that message. Our social media pages, Instagram and Facebook, also provided notice to those members that follow us on those channels. We also communicated the emergency closure out via email to all our eBranch Online Banking users as well as communications out to all local media outlets. We do apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to this emergency closure as well as the challenges you experienced with our call center partner who was answering our members calls during this emergency closure. We always welcome the opportunity to improve our member experience. Mahalo, Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union

Aram Jafarey1Terrible. ATM only available for members. No CU service availability. Don't go out of your way if you don't hold an account with them already.
