      I have been with CU Hawaii for a long time, maybe 30 years. I opened my first account in the main Hilo Office. I have use the other branch locations at various times and have never had an unpleasant experience with them. I have had car loans, personal loans, business checking accounts, business loans, and a safe deposit box rental.

      Great customer service. Really like the response time. However, smaller bank, no 24/7 hotline, and direct deposits don't automatically go through, if on mainland, your direct deposit may come at dinner time on morning it's supposed to be in because they don't process until 8-9am Hawaii time.. they don't have electronic approvals even if it's shown pending. Only negative.. everything else is great, I'm very happy with this bank.

      These guys are not helpful. Made a check deposit a nightmare. I will take my money out of this establishment as soon as I can. Any bank is better than this one.

      Horrible place to bank. There is no online bill paying banking. I can not send money to anyone through a routing system online. They only offer wire transfers which they charge. The checks do not automatically deposit to your account. When using their ATM. Checks are placed on five day holds (a lot). When walkinging into the kailua branch. The tellers talk to you through a tv screen. No personal connections. I do not recommend this bank.

      Disappointing with the bank hours, especially on Fridays when they close at 5pm when other banks close at 6pm - 6:30pm. And on Saturdays they close at Noon.
