  Poor communication and follow up - check Bad advice - check If you want to send the same documents over and over to different people - check Lack of appreciation for your business - check We took Bobby's advice to "simplify the process" and we get a call a week and half before closing notifying us of a change in how our loan was originally proposed. It's a little late to redo the process a week before closing so we were stuck. It turned out to be a costly piece of advice. Bobby seemed great at first and then never called when he said he would, couldn't remember previous conversations and ultimately provided poor advice and was very unresponsive. We never felt valued or appreciated. I would certainly never use them again or recommend them.

  I highly recommend Steve. He was the most helpful person during the entire process of purchasing my home. I spoke to other lenders who were not nearly as helpful or informative. Steve answered all of my questions even over the weekend! Very professional and personable. Even other lenders had great things to say about Group One Mortgage. As an insurance agent I have worked with quite a few lenders on home closings and this company has been by far the best, I recommend them to my own customers.   Bobby and Steve did a great job! Another company didn't understand that a self employed person can use one year tax returns if the business is over 5 years old. But Bobby and Steve did. So i moved my loan over to Group One from another company a few days after approval. There pre approval letters was strong as well which helps with making a deal with the seller. Both of them were on the ball and got things closed a WEEK early even when facing the hurricane! I would definitely recommend these guys! Very accessible and recommended by a client of mine who told me they were the best and they ARE! Thanks to them we got a great loan and quick approval and processing even for self employed.

  Claudine helped my husband and I when we purchased our home two years ago and was fabulous!!   Very easy, professional experience. We were shopping for loans with two other mortgage brokers who were unprofessional and untimely in their responses- one of these brokers we had used in our initial purchase. Seeing the difference between our experience with our initial purchase versus our refinance, I can confidently say we had a significantly better experience with Oberti Delgado- Villatoro/ Group One Mortgage. Portal for uploading documents and completing tasks was user-friendly and made the process more organized and easy to follow. Highly recommend to first time buyers and refinancers!
