  I recently had the pleasure of working with Juan Lopez and Anthony Garcia (and a processor whos name I forget but she was wonderful!!). I was under contract to purchase a home and using my bank for financing. 2 weeks before closing, I suddenly didn't qualify for reasons unknown. I was referred to Juan by a friend and all I can say is, Wow! Juan was able to use the appraisal from my bank and get the loan wrapped up in the 2 weeks remaining. Also got a better rate and fees than I was offered at my own bank that I have been with for 10 years! Thanks to Juan and Anthony of Great Mortgage, I am now a homeowner and couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Great Mortgage and especially these two gentleman! You can find them on Farnsworth in Aurora.

  Juan Lopez got my loan approved and to the closing table when the other mortgage company couldn't. My loan was a conventional non confirming 2 unit. My loan was approved and closed in 3 weeks!!. Thanks to Juan López and Anthony Garcia for the great work.The Great Mortgage team is friendly and professional kept me informed through out the loan process. I will definitely recommend. Definitely an A+++++++

  Juan and his team were fantastic! Anyone who is interested in purchasing any type of housing or property should contact great mortgage. Juan is a very skilled individual who not only helps his clients get approved within 24 hours but also helps anyone who’s credit isn’t the best. The team contact me with any issues that came up and assisted me in knowing the requirements for purchasing my first home. Without Juan and his wonderful team, I'll most likely be in phase one. I can't wait to team up with this group again when I’m ready to find my second home.

  I wanted to share my personal experience I had with Great Mortgage. I went on Facebook and asked to be provided someone who can help me get approved to buy my 1st home with bad credit. There were negative responses but Juan Lopez was there to advise me that he would do all he can to allow for me to accomplish my goal and he did!!! I am so thankful that I am now a 1st time homeowner he had faith that he can make this happen and he did not let me down! THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE TEAM FOR MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE!! ❤️ I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUAN LOPEZ TO HELP YOU MAKE YOUR DREAM OF BECOMING A HOME OWNER TURN IN TO REALITY!! 🏡

  Do not use this lender if you are a buyer and if you are a seller; do not sign the contract. Juan Lopez ; loan officer/branch manger, and Great Mortgage are incompetent. I'm a 30 year lender/banker; real banks and credit unions, who actually have lending authority. Not a fly by night mortgage company that only sells you a mortgage. Juan has worked at 11 different mortgage companies since 1999 per his NLMS info. That is a red flag. They are unable to meet deadlines, their pre-approval letters are invalid as the conditions change constantly, they lack communication skills, and offer no apologies for wasting the time of buyers, sellers, attorneys, realtors. We attempted to sell house from an estate. Very difficult process to begin with in selling loved one's house. First contract was voided due to issue with one of the borrowers; lender error in not properly identifying borrower qualifications. Second addendum contract had financing date 5 days prior to closing. Did not have financing approval by such date. First closing date did not occur. Was informed of issue after 5pm on day prior to closing. Again, another lender error. Pre-approval was never valid the 2nd time; lender error in not properly identifying borrower qualifications. Signed another addendum/extension for a 3rd time. Waited 2.5 weeks for financing again. Not approved again per contract. Lender blaming change in financial condition, but borrower had this situation all along. Was improperly underwritten by investor, underwriter, loan officer. Loan never closed. Buyer's wasted their time. We waited 48 days for financing approval after 3 pre-approval letters were issued. Their pre-approval letter is like toilet paper; best to flush it. It's not real. Best part; in trying to talk to the loan officer's supervisor; if he even was; no apology for wasting 48 days to do a loan. Just asking if we were ok with the loan terms being changed. Really? So we can waste time with a new appraisal and more underwriting and another fake pre-approval letter. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! P.S. I can't give them negative stars but one star is far too high of a rating.

  Horrific experience with Juan Lopez and Great Mortgage. There is nothing great about this mortgage lender. This loan officer, Juan Lopez located at 1133 N Farnsworth in Aurora Illinois knew his client did not qualify for a loan and was determined to get her approved. On his website, he mentions that he is transparent (lack of transparency, inept and cunning) describes this guy best. My wife and I put our house up for sale in the first week of November of 2020 and contingent upon the sale, we were in the process of buying a new home. So we moved out of our home on December 26th for the buyer and due to the closing date. We were only suppose to be in an extended stay for 10 days.The closing date for the sale house was December 28th 2020, and then the first extension came for December 30th and four more extensions after that. The buyer failed to pay for the appraisal on time and the lender forget to order the appraisal. He had the audacity to be rude to our lawyers and agent when they were following up with him to figure out what was going on. It goes without saying, his client had so many red flags that she could not pass underwriting. We finally gave up on January 28th, 2021. We had to withdraw from the home builder to avoid penalties due to Juan's ineptitude and five granted extensions. We also lost more than $12,000 in extended stay costs, and moving and storage fees. HE IS UNTRUTHFUL AND DECEIVING AND ONE OF THE WORST IF NOT THE WORST LOAN OFFICER A SELLER CAN DEAL WITH! If you are selling your home, I strongly encourage you to ask who is the lender before proceeding. If it is Great Mortgage or Juan Lopez, SPRINT and don't look back-you will not regret it.
