  Many months ago I looked at a ring here, I came back this week and the ring was still there listed for the same price ($499) as before so I tried to negotiate the price to purchase it. Along with the ring my husband wanted to purchase a chainsaw. He was told they would take $300 for the chainsaw. Making the sale for both items to be $800. I asked if they would take $700 for both items and was refused. I tried a couple more negotiations, but he (I'm assuming the owner) was unwilling to come down on the ring at all even after I pointed out it had been there for quite some time. Every other pawn shop I've ever dealt with has been willing to take less than the listed price, especially on items that they've had for a while. I did not expect him to say okay to the first thrown out negotiation of $700, but I did think he would meet me somewhere between the two prices, but since he seemed to be stuck on that $500 ring price and not even willing to negotiate even ONE dollar we went to the next pawn shop and spent more than $1,000 on a ring and chainsaw.
