  I rent from Gideon properties and let me tell ya we pay a water bill to the land lord so every time the water bill is due our water gets shut off!!!! Because Gideon properties chooses not to pay the bill this has been happening for 3 years now. We r looking for another place for several reasons and the water is one of them. My husband works in concrete and i work in a hot ware house so we like to shower when we get home but we cant when the water is shut off.very very done with this company

  This is the most unprofessional company I have ever run into in my 40 year career. They make promises but then do not abide by them. I had a property for sale and they were supposed to send me copies of the signed agreement but took weeks. Then, they break the contract. I wish they had never contacted me because it wasted time I could of sold to someone else.

  Michael Fitzgerald is a great man. I’ve known him since high school. He is a family man above all with business. And he will continue to try to help improve Hagerstown and Frederick, MD.

  Do NOT buy any properties owned by this company. Termites, black mold, new drywall covering termite damaged studs. These are disclosure items and should have been listed prior to buying. Thinking of taking legal action. Plus multiple electric issues not up to code. House is a money pit and they did the bare minimum to make it look pretty vs doing things right. I bought a house from them and its been the biggest mistake of my life.

  I had a very good experience dealing with the folks at Gideon Properties. Mike was very helpful and thorough. We were looking for a quick fixer upper under $200k, and that's exactly what he found us. He was able to find us a duplex under value where we made about 30% profit on. He was able to refer a to good private money lender, and trusted contractor to rehab it. Everything went smoothly and we are looking forward to doing more business with the team at Gideon!

  I first contacted Gideon properties about selling my rental home. After viewing the home and the condition it was in I was made a verbal offer. I told them I would be in contact once I got the pay off quote from the bank. I was suppose to get the offer in an email which never came. I then made at least 4 calls to them with no response. Finally on the 4th day I receive a call back that they have changed their mind on the home. Why give me a verbal offer to be followed up with a email with offer if you knew you weren't interested from the start? This has to be the most unprofessional company out there. This is not how you deal with customer's.

  I don’t know how these people got my personal cell phone number, but they have been bombarding me with text messages about wanting to buy our place. I called & told them previously to remove my number, but that still has NOT happened. I will be reporting them to authorities to cease & desist. They are an affront to decent real estate professionals. We don’t know who they are but I am sick & tired of this company & their text messages.

  Worst rental property management i think in Hagerstown or the tri-state area. They ran my credit and told me i had “repossessions” which is not true, i have never had a repossession in my life. On top of that, they told me “i am not what they look for in a tenant” which sounds a bit racist to me. Because they approved my roommate who is i might add Caucasian. They also told me they do not think i will be able to pay the rent, but i have other means of income, which they did not even look into. To make matters worse, they told me i have a second degree assault charge. Which i have never been charged with. It is considered a stet. Which means i can expunge it next year. An actual assault charge cannot actually come off of your record for at least ten years! And i have had several nursing homes approve me to work in their facilities and take care of the elderly after explaining to them the situation. So knowing this, i should have been approved but that’s ok. I will look elsewhere. Hope this helps anyone interested in this property management.

  These people scrape the web for contact information then randomly and aggressively call you about selling your house, or asking if you know anyone who wants to sell. Really? They are just another version of telescum marketers. I had to block the number because they kept calling.
