Louie R5I'm a big fan of regional or local credit unions over huge traditional corporate banks that have to answer to investors and prioritize stockholder profits over customers. And guess who pays for those profits. Now, credit unions like my GESA Credit Union are non-profit, have the same products at lower fees, the process to get a loan is much easier, customer service is better and personable, your money is safe and they're part of the community, not the corporation. I've had all my personal accounts with GESA CU in Lynnwood for several years and I'm a satisfied customer.
Response from the ownerThank you, Louie! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review! Have a great day! Thanks, Gesa Credit Union

Smiley World1Cant make payments from app unless you add another bank acct…. They charge you to make a payment over the phone…..website payments only allow the exact amount of the loan…..you have to go in to make a higher payment…..customer service is a joke and they’re extremely unprepared for customer questions and concerns🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

Colleen Harrison1If you use Gesa in WA state just know, they don’t know WA state law & RCWs around community property . Misplaced and omitted names off an account due to name changes from Employees credit union to Inspirius to Gesa, created a cascade that never should have happened to a widow ! Two trips later, a visit to our attorney , and then finally a phone call admitting they’d found the documents and could now give us OUR $. Employees need to be trained in WA state community property law, rather than calling corporate supervisors , and creating stress for account holders .
Response from the ownerHi Colleen, we truly apologize for your experience and appreciate your feedback. We would be happy to have the opportunity to discuss this further with you. If you'd like to be contacted, please send us an e-mail to [email protected] with your contact information and we'll follow up. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.

Dylan Mustach1As another review stated, Inspirus has merged with Gesa Credit Union and has gone downhill ever since. My primary method of banking is through the online portal and mobile app. Unfortunately, both seem to have taken a major dive since Gesa took over. The mobile app is very buggy and does not allow me to submit checks for deposit. The online portal is constantly unresponsive and unintuitive. I have tried calling them to get more information about my accounts, but every time I call I find myself waiting on hold for about an hour before hanging up out of frustration. Due to these reasons, I will be researching other credit unions and banks so I can get away from the Gesa mess. I do not recommend doing business with Gesa.

Kian Zugel1Untrustworthy. They have merged with GESA, which is a horrible credit union. They have horrible customer service. Will be withdrawing all of my money and closing my account with them and taking my money to a trustworthy credit union. They do not answer the phone, or any emails, and I cannot do anything with my money as they have refused to send me the debit card I was told I was going to receive months ago. I will be taking this to the better business bureau as well.

Claudia Gray1DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BANKING WITH INSPIRUS I started banking with School Employees Credit Union and was relatively satisfied with their customer service. When the company became Inspirus Credit Union I noticed a swift negative shift in the professionalism and knowledge base of their customer service agents. Most recently my son, who is a responsible teen working in his first job, contacted the bank to report a monthly fraud charged to his account. I explained to him the steps he needed to take in order to have the issue resolved. He followed the steps and contacted the bank numerous times. Not only did the bank fail to address his concerns and protect his account, they let the fraud continue leaving him open to additional fraud and loss of funds. I stepped in and spoke to two customer service agents. Both promised a resolution, return of funds and a follow up call. I received absolutely nothing. My family and I will be investigating and reviewing other banks to find a reputable and secure place to conduct our financial business. I felt compelled to share this story and I sincerely caution you to never conduct any financial business with Inspirus. They support fraud, loss of funds and lack the capacity for customer service. Shame on you Inspirus!

Mimi Mason5Inspirus made miracles on me that got me approve for car loan and even lower my interest and my payment went down. Then I got approved for credit card 💳 to establishing my credit. I am beyond words because this bank works for you and the community to be human and made your money useful.

George Hu1I had the world's worst experience opening a CD in response to their advertising for a 24mo CD. I called beforehand to ask what documents I would need, and I was told I just needed my drivers license. But when I arrived in Lynwood they demanded to pull my credit history even though I was just making a deposit. They told me I could unfreeze my credit by phone but the number they gave me wouldn't allow it. I had to spend 10 minutes on my phone because they wouldn't let me use a web browser to find a phone number that is specifically for credit freezes. It requires having a 10 digit PIN from when you froze the credit. Few people would have that. On top of that, it costs $10 to unfreeze your credit unless you've been the victim of identity theft. Finally a branch manager approved my account but by then it had already taken 30 minutes to open my credit file! In this day and age, everyone should have their credit locked. It's unnecessary, time consuming, and expensive to be requiring all CD depositors to open their credit files since I'm the one lending the bank the money. If anything, they should be giving me credit histories for their employees instead. I've opened accounts at most of the major banks in the area and online and this is the first time I've been given a big hassle to deposit money into an account. If it weren't for the killer rate they were offering I'd say stay as far away as you can from Inspirus because it didn't inspire us at all. I'm still really mad about it a day later. Noone needs that kind of headache even for a few hundred bucks.
