  A few weeks ago a driver rear-ended my Rav4 causing moderate damage to my rear bumper and spare-tire cover. Their insurance company (Farmers) accepted blame and first among their list of preferred vendors is Gerber. The process was simple and streamlined (I believe the name of my contact was Louis), I received an estimated day upon which the work was to be completed and an update to confirm its timeliness and the work was performed to a degree that all looks like new. While this is a business I hope never to have to patronize again (after all, I'd prefer my cars remain damage free), if I do it's my clear choice.

  I will post more upon the completion of my car repairs, but the people that work their are very friendly and great people who know what they are doing.

  The Gerber on NW Hwy in Chicago was excellent. I got the best quote for the repair, they had a special for a free rental, and they did the work in exactly the time specified. The paint job matched perfectly as well. I've not had any problems with it in the 3 months since the repair.

  This place sucks! Estimate was a joke. Barely looked at the car, I could have just told them because they barely touched it then after getting the estimate and waiting for parts I was told it may be more cause they didnt actually open anything during the estimate. Thanks for wasting my time. False claims about timing and availability. If you like being lied straight to your face, enjoy Gerber. I wouldn't go take your car there if you A depend on your car B keep stuff in your car C want an accurate description of what will be done and when it will be done. They moved around everything in my car unnecessarily. There was no reason to go into my backseat at all instead they did including TAKING SOMETHING THAT DID NOT BELONG TO THEM! I have stuff missing from my car, the process took forever and they changed their story multiple times. Front desk girl looks like shes just gone thru a tragedy instead of being polite and smiling. Even without having insurance come and approve stuff it still took FOREVER to even start the process. Yes they sent updates by texts but they were not accurate and always followed by a conflicting phone call. If you are rich, have an empty car, and dont care when you get it back, enjoy Gerber. If you actually want fast honest service, go anywhere else! And Gerber, if you want me to change this review, give me the bag you took from my backseat....I'll wait....

  They fixed a side panel dent within a couple days and made the car look brand new. The office managers and technicians were friendly and professional. Would highly recommend!

  Super job. Chris Freihaut didn’t overpromise or underdeliver. He and the rest of the crew worked extra hard to get our vehicle completed prior to our moving to FL next week. Appreciate the great service.

  Wow. Great service. Efficient, well thought out customer service. Met my need at every level for car repair - from dealing with insurance to getting me in the perfect car rental. Sort of like Ritz Carlton of body shop

  Went in for a quote here. They were kind of rude to me. The quote was over $500 to replace a part that was only $20. Ridiculous! UPDATE: spoke to the manager, who was very helpful and friendly. He listened to my experiance and wanted to personally get involved to make things right. He talked to me about other repair options that would be far less money, and set up a time that fits my schedule. Definitely changed my opinion of this place.
