This place is a joke. The manager Dominique is completely useless and frankly very rude and unwilling to accommodate customers. I have done business here for 20 years and am leaving immediately. Go to LGE or Delta Community as it’s a way different experience. They closed due to covid and then said they had to limit how much money I could have because I didn’t have an appointment. They were closed and that was their decision, yet a 20 plus year client can’t have an extra 3500$ of their own money from their account after being a customer for over 20 years. Absolutely horrible customer service and I will be bad mouthing them from this point forward. Go somewhere else!!! This is the worst banking experience I have ever had.

I joined this credit union when it was Georgia Telco. It just to be a great credit union, sadly it has gone downhill in the last few years. They now have a horrible credit card vendor, it takes several days for credit to become available after a transfer payment from a Georgia's Own account. The last online payment I made took 7 business days before that credit was available even though it posted the next day. So I have started going to a branch, making a cash withdrawal & making a cash payment. I went to Roswell today, was told I had to handle the withdrawal & payment on one of their machines because they don't have tellers. I made the withdrawal then attempted to make a payment however their machine only gave the option of paying via transfer, so now I have to go to a branch that has humans to make my payment. I asked an employee for contact info for the CEO/President, she claimed they have no contact info for him. I suppose I'd hide too if I were running such a shoddy operation.

Terrible place. We have tried and tried with this location, but the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Teller doesn't know what he is doing, doesn't even look at the check you hand him. Manager is rude and condescending when speaking to you. She was just awful. I can see why the teller doesn't know what they are doing if this is who their manager is. We are closing our accounts and will not be back.

      Response from the owner

Adam - Sorry to hear of your experience with our staff. We have shared your information and while it may be late, we would be happy to try and earn back your business if you'll give us a chance. If you'd like, please reach out at [email protected]. Thanks!

Been a Member over 10 years, but I'm done. I get 100x better customer service from any bank I use. 800+ credit score and $20k+ in my account? 2 auto loans paid in full here? Doesn't matter! If you want a loan, do yourself a favor, and go anywhere else.

      Response from the owner

We hate to hear this has been your experience and would love to make this right by you. Would you care to send us an email to [email protected] with your contact info so that we can have someone reach out about your experience?

Geneva is probably the sweetest teller I've ever met. She was so helpful and kind. She made everything simple and made my day. She gave my daughter some lollipops because "that's what grandmas can do." My daughter got so happy. I cannot wait to co.e back here. Thank you Grandma G.

Enjoy banking with Georgia’s Own. I have always had a good experience especially at the Windward location. The tellers are friendly and anytime I need assistance the branch manager Jackie Hall is always available and truly cares about her members!

Just stay away from this organization. We have banked here since 2007. Each year the customer service goes down more and more. Business accounts; stay away, credit cards; stay away; home loans; processing took better than 5 months; Home Equity Line; still dealing with them since July. This is not only this location but a brand issue. I have sent a letter to the CEO, Mr. Preter. I'm betting in 5 months I might hear back by what I see in all their processing time. Completely a pathetic organization for customer service. You can easily find better in the area. I'm in the process of firing them. Update. We have our mortgage with this pathetic organization. They have missed paying the taxes on the mortgage. We were passed around on the phone from place to place to eventually someone who could not even turn the sound on their phone. Stay away!!! They are awful!

I had a transaction that required a teller. Went to my local Vickery Branch on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was closed, that’s ok. I should have checked for Holiday hours. Noted the sign on the door stated the lobbies were open at multiple locations and listed Windward. Drove down to Windward to find only the drive thru open and from the looks of this line....the bare minimum of tellers. Customer service continues to decline at Georgia’s Own. It is definitely not the “Telco” credit union that was its foundation - where tellers were helpful, greeted you with a smile and usually remembered you.

Of all the different banks and credit card companies that I do business with this Bank Flags my account twice as often for fraud as the other ones and unlike the other ones you have to physically call and talk to a real human being to get it resolved before they will unlock your account and it's usually about 45 minutes to an hour wait time and even then they say it's only 24 hour hold that they are releasing on the account. I get flag for ridiculous things like not shopping at Target often enough so that when I do the account gets shut down for fraud.

Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had in a bank or credit union. Somehow they have things all sideways about taking members first and ignoring the relationships they supposedly have with sister credit unions, resulting in long lines, idle gossipy employees, ridiculous fees, poor customer service (as in, they cannot read a deposit slip?)...really really sad situation. A few years ago it was better. I had thought about opening an account there until all this happened. Now, I wouldn't recommend this credit union to anyone. They do not know how to do business, do not value relationships or customer experience.
