      It's been a pleasure banking with GenFed, the people are always friendly, provide excellent customer service and if there ever is a problem they will do whatever they have to to make it right.

      I have not been able to use my debit card since yesterday. Cardholder services blames gen fed and gen fed blames cardholder services. They both assure me everything is good and I can use my card but when I do it says contact my financial institution. They say my only option is contacting member services which don't return calls and gen fed employees at mt vernon location refuse to give me corporate number to resolve. I'll be going to us bank to resolve the issue gen fed is not capable of resolving issues in it's flawed system with no customer support , enjoy!!! You have been warned. This is actually a real review.

      I couldn't be more grateful to Genfed Credit Union. We had a little confusing and more money came out than we had in our account. We didn't know at the time and when we checked our account, we were -$500. A bill came out unexpectedly which threw us into a negative balance and then we had an overdraft fee for every transaction afterwards. On top of that, Hannah's debit card was hijacked and used in Indiana. Today we got the money stolen from us. I was also able to email someone from Genfed and I told them what happened, and they decided in just an hour after emailing them to refund us all of our money. In total, we had 9 overdraft fees at $30/fee, and $130 stolen from us. If you ever think about going to any bank/credit union, check out Genfed. Thank you so much!
