  ZERO STARS!! Do not do business with this company. I paid my credit card on time every month until I lost my job, and even then I only missed one payment. I started working AND made all of my payments , 3 months in, I get a Transunion alert that they closed my card. After calling them and going thru different people to talk to- cuz they are in India somewhere and you can't understand anything they say! I finally got a rep I could understand and he basically said the account was closed due to inactivity and delinquency. which is ridiculous, even tho I was paying monthly they had tacked on great late fees and interest from the one time I missed a payment. They were not willing to remove the late fees and open the account back even if I paid them. I asked for a settlement then so it would show at least as a paid off charge and they still don't want to do that. So now I've got to call back or get credit advise on the best way to handle this so it doesn't screw up my credit! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! TRUST THESE REVIEWS!

  Avoid any dealings with this company if you can, RUN, RUN, RUn. I had an account with them, last house on the block thing for furniture I purchased in Jan 22 at Ashley Home Stores and we cancelled the order in March. Thank God, then mysteriously the charges were re billed in mid May and according to Genesis the charges were billed by Ashley which they deny and attempted with paperwork etc to get Genesis to remove the debt from my credit report and charging interest as I never received any furniture. I called myself several times, spoke to a man today, Kirby who is in United States and supervisor. He would not tell me where or who received the money and I explained to him that this is all fraud, which appears to be directly from inside this company. Ashely can do nothing, or more than they have done and they do not do business with this company. Only a company in financial troubles would behave in this way, so for the time being, I have filed a complaint with the BBB, Consumer Finance.gov and the attorney general in Florida as this company is in violation of federal lawthe Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) to help consumers resolve disputes and then finally legal advice from affordable local legal services and seek an attorney to help me. It has been a nightmare to go through this but I know with hard work I will prevail but I have never been through this kind of fraud where a company just makes charges on your credit, and then walks away with stolen money, truly we live in a terrible time of no integrity or empathy towards others. Good luck and stay away from them, you wil regret the day you ever came into contact with them, they will steal your money!

  I give them 1 start because I applied for a card from an email I was sent and they denied me, no big deal except for the reason, they said I had a zero credit score from TransUnion which is wrong, I have a 646 score from TransUnion. So their process is bogus. AND it said there would be no impact on my credit when IMMEDIATELY a hard inquiry popped up on my credit alerts. Well, it seems after reading multiple other reviews, I am very glad they denied me a card. I will, however, be contacting TransUnion about the hard inquiry that was not supposed to happen.

  As soon as my account is paid off I’m closing it down…added my wife to the account after 20 plus yrs of having the account myself then she ended up opening an account with the same store but threw another bank . So now they saying I can’t remove her unless I pay the balance off and send in a letter..,but I’m the primary! If I don’t want her on my account.then that’s my choice I’m gonna hurry up and do a balance transfer and will never do business with Genesis again. The little things add up to big things so they gotta go immediately!

  I too am seeing similar comments to my issue. Called a customer service number today and got someone's voice mail as they are closed on Saturday. Called another customer service number and went through the voice prompt system and then they disconnected me. I too have been charged exorbitant fees and interest and never even once used their new Indigo card, which I am trying to cancel but can't seem to reach anyone to do so. I am going to mail it back to them with a cancel notice. I do not think this is a legitimate firm behind this and if there is, maybe just taking advantage of customers and offering limited customer service is just part of their business model.

  DO NOT EVER GET ONE OF THEIR CREDIT CARDS! HIGH INTEREST, NO CREDIT LIMIT INCREASES EVER, AND AWFUL OUT OF COUNTRY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO LIES AND DOES THE ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM FOR A PAYCHECK. BEWARE!!! Horrible! I paid off and closed all three of my credit cards with them, and had a credit to one of my accounts, which they kept ($77) for over a month before I had to threaten legal action to get them to return it! Finally got it mailed in three days and received it. Had to call their legal department, CEO, V.P. and a bunch of other head-honchos threatening legal action to even get them to actually do their job. They would have kept my money forever, earning themselves interest on it, and I would have never gotten it back. Shameful. Bunch of thievery. DO NOT EVER GET ONE OF THEIR CREDIT CARDS!   Did a hard inquiry when they said they wouldn't, and then all of a sudden it appears on my credit report. I get an email asking for my driver's license and social security card copies to be mailed or faxed. I've never had to do that so I automatically went to do some digging. This company is a fraudulent place and should be reported to TransUnion for violating agreements and false advertisement upon checking reports.

  This company which i had never heard of nor signed up with withdrew over $630 from my bank account. When i called them to try to get this stopped they refused to help me because i didn't have an account with them. No matter how many times i explained that i knew i didn't have an account with them and that i was calling to try to stop fraudulent payment from going through, all they did was tell me they couldn't do anything because i don't have an account with them. Their customer service is in the Philippines and is pathetic. I eventually spoke to a manger and they were just as useless.

  I can't imagine this is a place I would want to do business with. I have been receiving their mail for 4 years; taxes, bankruptcy notices, bills, even checks made to them and test runs that THEY SENT to our address, which is not their address, it's mind blowing. I have been putting return to sender for FOUR YEARS since they moved from this building to another one down the street and they always come back to me! What kind of business allows this. I mean not changing your address and sending something to yourself which is YOUR OLD ADDRESS come on man!!! How do you run a business this way!?! CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS FOR YOUR TAXES AND PAYMENTS good lord!
