  Eric Smith at Gateway Mortgage could not have been more helpful, easy to work with, and professional. I would HIGHLY recommend him (and do so to friends and family) for anyone looking to purchase or sell a home. Eric made the process so simple for us that people were shocked at how quickly and easily we went through purchasing our new home. Excellent experience!

  We had the pleasure of working with Tyler Elkins and his boss Eric Smith. I cannot begin to explain how easy and quick they made this process for us. After fighting tooth and nail with Rocket Mortgage since November of last year, we made the decision to switch over to Gateway at the end of February and we close on our house Monday April, 4. Everyone was thorough with us, and very very helpful. All questions were answered, and we were kept in the loop for the whole process. I can’t recommend Gateway enough.

  Buyers beware! We had the unfortunate experience of working with Gateway Mortgage when selling our home in WV. Autumn McClelland was the lender working with the buyer on our house. I would like to give warning to anyone even THINKING about using Gateway— if you don’t want your confidential information shared- GO, better yet RUN,—somewhere else. I am from a small town. There are no strangers. If I went to school with you, more than likely, my parents went to school with your parents and the same goes for my grandparents. Autumn told me and my agent in NC in two separate conversations on a “between you and me” basis that my buyer had financial issues, reported money he didn’t have, asked his grandmother to gift him money to be approved for a home purchase, and eventually had to be put on his grandmothers account to finalize his purchase of my home. I knew this buyer! I know his wife, his in-laws, etc. I would be completely mortified to have my confidential information shared so nonchalantly. Autumn McClelland lied to me on multiple occasions. I believe every person is entitled to vacations— they’ve earned that time off. I do not believe one should lie to a consumer about completing tasks before vacation or while on a layover. When we were at our wits end, I contacted corporate offices for Gateway Mortgage. I spoke with Tammy and Eric who were both extremely helpful—but it gets better! After speaking with them, Autumn McClelland, the lender on the loan, began sending me hostile text messages about contacting corporate! I am also appalled that Autumn contacted my agents company and called me a “spiteful b*tch” among other things. I am thankful Tammy and Eric put a new lender on the account and the sale of my home was completed June 18 (3 weeks late). I would strongly urge consumers to avoid Gateway Mortgage, specifically in Hurricane, WV.

  I highly recommend Isaac Holstein if you're searching for a loan officer that sincerely works hard for you! We were buying out of state and became frustrated with lenders in the state we were moving to. It would take days to weeks to get information from other loan officers. We found Isaac through online reviews and it happened that within a few weeks he would be licensed for the state we were moving to. Based on his knowledge and willingness to work with us, we knew he'd be worth the wait and he didn't disappoint. When he was already half way through the process leading up to a closing date, other lenders we'd reached out to previously were just calling back to check in. He will get the job done in a timely manner and makes all the headaches of the moving process go seamlessly. Easy communication and great to work with! Thanks Isaac!

  From placing an offer on the house to closing it was a total of 30 days , we were kept updated on our status and had no problems, I would recommend this Company for your needs , very knowledgeable about VA home loan processes
