  I am extremely impressed with the EXCELLENT customer service that I consistently receive at Gate City Bank Downtown Fargo, Branch #1001. I would like to recognize Makena and Amelia! Makena was relentless in hunting me down to deliver my personal crock pot! For becoming a new customer. She is AMAZING! I accidentally called Makena, Amelia. Sorry Makena. Amelia also provided TOP NOTCH customer service! She was very efficient in getting me signed in and had a private office prepared swiftly! I have never felt so welcomed at any other financial institution than I have at Gate City Bank in Downtown Fargo. Thank you!

  Guess they just close the drive thru at whatever time they feel like it. Been using the drive through cashing for months after 6pm because I work overnights. Absolute garbage to just start closing it at 6pm. At least I won't have to bother deciding if I want to make an account here.

  Great place to bank with. Very helpful people from the top down typically. Sometimes they have like dress up days which is humorous, but maybe unsettling the first time you walk into a bank to find all the tellers wearing Hawaiian shirts. The Cookies and Coffee are half the reason I stick around. This location interior is kinda neat to look at if your in the neighbor hood.

  Jessica and Kim at this branch displayed unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Miguel edited details about my account without my authorization. All shortly after I reported discrepancies and errors, resulting in otherwise unnecessary expenses, for which GateCity was at fault, such as issuing a card with a cancelled number. Despite promising reimbursement and verbally admitting their mistake, only months later and several stressful phone calls offering only excuses, some compensation was received. While inquiring about it at this location I was literally ridiculed, laughed at and offered no solutions. Overall I felt bullied and harassed here because they didn't want to be held accountable for their mistake. I was a loyal 10-year customer until this occured.

  Gate City Banks interest rates are abysmal, but their service is top notch, they refund ATM fees, and many locations have fresh baked cookies. It's a fair trade off.

  I switched from Alerus over to these guys because I heard such wonderful things. Getting a loan always takes days longer than the loan officer will tell you. Just expect 2 weeks before everything is said and done. They'll tell you 24-48 hours. Trying to get in contact with any of them in a way other than email is nearly impossible. I set up a business account with them a couple months ago, still can't figure out how to operate the online banking for it, customer service has been no help. They did give me a business loan that I never expected to get, but that's the only good thing I have to say about them. I'm sure there's better banks, but switching everything over is such a hassle.

  Horrible customer service. I was messaged about a charge being stopped on the gate city app to find out it wasn't stopped and they ran a NSF fee because of it. I called and they won't do it all of a suddenly and want a NSF now.

  Great bank.....until atms start screwing up. Gate will eventually "absorb" the mistake than state they do not wish to continue business." We are in the business to make money." Is THIER exact words. Hometown bank my ass. More like a bank with OVER 2.4 BILLION DOLLARS in assets whom indeed does not wish to treat their customers with utmost respect. Was told to hold off until Steve swintek came back into the office but went ahead anyway with some barb lady whom made that comment. I appreciate gate finally fixing the mistake but I do not appreciate being treated like scum for an incident that is NOT MY FAULT and being told "It's not ours either" Helping the community????? How with comments like that. For a BETTER way of living do not choose gate.

  I've had a few different car loans from a few different banks and Gate City Bank is by far the worst bank in the history of banks, maybe ever. Total disgrace. Also their loan people are horrible.
